Thank you Prince for NOT showing up at the Revolution Reunion

Seriously. I'm very happy Prince didn't last night. There were rumors all day. He'd been in Minnesota since Feb 13th. He had dinner with Bobby Z on Valentines Day.

Last night was the Revolution's night. Standing two rows from stage I can confirm that Prince's cloud guitar was there. John Bream stated that all of his equipment was there too.

Last night was incredible...without Prince. With Prince it would have taken aways from everything we experienced last night.

Last night, Wendy was the bandleader. If Prince would have been there, it would have taken away from the magic that everyone else brought to the stage.

So thanks Prince, for not showing up.

I agree. If Prince would have been there it would not have been as good. Half of the songs would not have been performed due to being a Jehova and we probably would have had to listen to Larry. It was an EVENT last night and I think it was perfect!! I wish The Revolution would take this on the road for a small club tour in major cities. They turned it out!!

Larry was at the show and stayed through almost all of it ... And he was pumping his hand in the air for a whole lot of songs.

I look at it like a win-win situation. In my opinion it would of been AWESOME if Prince were there but it wasn't terrible because he wasn't (according to people who were there). Some people finally got to see what the revolution could do without Prince in the driver's seat. BUT I'm sure most already knew they had talent, sooo this isn't like a total surprise!

I wasn't there so I don't know the experience, but when the DVD comes out it probably would be better with Prince in the band. biggrin

I'm not glad he didn't show up (how could i be?!) but I'm not really disapointed. I'm indifferent i guess but I really need to see him...It's been a little long. sad

thats niccceeeee!! I actually ran into G. one time before a show and he was dressed like he just came back from the gym. Nike sneaks, sweat pants..etc and it was trippy seeing him dressed like that. It always kills me when I still see Larry in the SAME white pimp suit at shows. I'd love to see him change it up. G belongs with Sly tho they made magic. G is long overdue to release something new.

Bringing back PP memories. Remember that homeless guy that Larry G and Prince would let stay at PP some? I think his name was Kevin. The guy smelled like shit. I think they must have felt bad for him. I was at a PP party a billion years ago and that guy Kevin pulled out an enema and shoved it up his ass during the middle of a converstation with me. I miss those days of party at the Park.

What are you outraged about today? CNN has not told you yet?

dude- you SO have the option to not comment. By now we all pretty much know your deal so it is a head scratcher WHY you bother to post in the associated artists section. you weren't at the show and you're not interested in participating other than to dog other people for enjoying a performance that you have no idea how it sounded - so what is your trip?

Nobody insulted Prince.

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Nope on either. I ran into Larry G. at the New Power Soul show with P and Chaka. The night Prince slipped on stage and messed up his ankle. Atlantic City, NJ. Trump. I think P cancelled some show in Ohio after that? I was in the lobby and no one noticed but Larry G. walked in to get his keys. I remember at that show it was a dissapointment cuz when all epected something special being such a small venue. After the twist P was in pain and did a few more songs and was outta there.

I'm not sure how close that guy Kevin was to Prince and Larry but Larry defintely knew of him. I remember clearly he talked with Larry G forever at one of the Celebrations. The guy was a huge Larry G and Sly fan. According to him the biggest Larry G fan in the world. And no shit he actually shoved an enema up his ass when I was talking with him at Paisley!!! I heard rumors Larry felt bad for the guy at let him into Paisley but not sure if it all was true or how close he was to anyone at PP. The guy was a freak, way back on here some people talked about him in a thread and didn't like him. Not sure if he was some sort of pimp or what. Days of Wild!!!!

You're another one that consistently knocks anything that doesn't include Prince. MY point is we all hear you over and over and over saying the same exact thing. Not even some sort of new angle on it. So WHY bother? Why expend the energy to diss a bunch of people who are talking about the experience (that you didn't HAVE) they collectively saw. you offer NOTHING to the conversation. I am not saying that everyone who saw the show should agree or say it was the best thing ever....but the point is neither you nor koolmusiq saw the show so why walk in with a chip on your shoulder and start you "without Prince it ain't shit" diatribe? Do you just try an excrete your one note opinion as many places as possible? NO one insulted Prince for not showing up. tjhey said he would have overshadowed the evening and band with his presence. And that is pretty much true.

It's always funny that people who don't care about something, wanna constantly talk about it.

How ignorant are you? I never insulted Prince for not showing up. I've seen Prince a million times, and did not want him overshadowing the show with his presence. I wanted to see the Revolution, not Prince. Yes it was his band, playing his music. What's you're point? This was my view, not yours.

If you're so thin-skinned, that you take my posting personal, you have issues that cannot be resolved here.
