You're right. After having looked into it, it was just an EP consisting of the single + 8 remixes of that same track. The Grand Royals is the project name for Ian Ginsberg collaborating with Jill Jones. (The band, so to speak, only consisted of these two members.)

We could add another ST PAUL album to the list. This best of compilation includes two previously unreleased solo songs, "The Regulator" & "Forgive Me", and one song with fDELUXE, "@8" (later released on their 'Gaslight' album).

I wasn't planning to add best ofs but if u request it I will I'll add it later, though, as I'm strict on respecting the thread's chronology in suggestions in order not to forget anything.
Wikipedia also mentions a few albums where he performed as a sideman, but I wasn't sure what to do with them as I couldn't find any additional detailed info :s A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Thanks, Databank! I mentioned this particular best of because it included some new songs.
I love this thread... The final list will be enormous. Thanks for putting in so much work, Databank. Maybe you could request it to become a sticky once you've got a complete list?

Get well soon databank. I've got an ear infection myself at the moment that's making anything other than sleeping a pain in the ass (ear?!).
Still got some releases to add to the list too sometime this week.

Nice work databank!!
Quick question, what was Prince's involvement with Jesse's Shockadelica album? Of course I know the back story about Prince's Shockadelica song and Jesse's use of Prince's arrangement of Do Yourself a Favor. Was there something else?
Thanks and keep up the good work. I'm a bit overwhelmed now with all of this information! It's gonna take me years to track all this stuff down and listen to it!
~And even when I'm right, I'll be wrong...it's Automatic too.

It's only that (DYAF). It's true that Jesse used P's arrangements without P's consent but nonetheless, Jesse's writing co-credits are actually Prince's additions (Pépé Willie was sole author of If You See Me). Therefrore, DYAF is the only official release of Prince's version of the song (Pépé's pre-Prince version surfaced in 1992).
Therefore, despite Prince not approving Jesse releasing his version (the fact that he didn't sue makes it a tacit approval, though), I always considered DYAF as a Prince song given to another artist (or, in that case, taken by him), hence the italics here ^^

In the end I think that I will, just like I did for Sheena Easton, just indicate that a best of album exists, leaving the details for the curious and obstinate fan to find out In some cases, listing best ofs is as complicated as listing singles, so I'll just say they exist with no more details ^^
The mods are to decide what is sticky or not, I won't request but u can if u wanna. I doubt it'll be a sticky, though, as Scififilmnerds astonishing listings and articles weren't made stickies in 2009 (though remaining the definitive articles on the subjects they addressed to this day). Thanks for answering my question about stickies, databank. I hope you're already feeling better. I've got a busy week right now, but I think I might be able to put in some extra work on the list next weekend.

Hope you feel better by the time you read this. Get well soon. Your help on databank's thread has been much appreciated, not just by me, but I'm sure by all the peope who have checked in on the list on a regular basis. Thanks again!

Probably a fools erand, but if I get round to it, I'd also like to expand it with related artists as performers, remixes as well as just writers/producers - *gulp*

AS-TO-NI-SHING work, dude!!! Thanks!
I didn't read it in detail yet but I noticed a small mistake: Rosie Gaines' Try Me was released as early as 2004 or 2005 (I think it's 2005 but I don't have the time to check right now), not 2010. I know because I legally downloaded it from her website back then.

Thanks famosA
maxbos, it sure does count - though databank's original thread was albums specifically, although I ended up adding a couple of non-album/b-side songs in my list too - but purposely left out non-album remixes (there are quite a few Wendy & Lisa, Bobby/David Z, Jesse Johnson etc ones), and contributions as performer only (like lots of tracks with Wendy on guitar for example, not as producer/writer).
If you want to compile a remixes list, I think we'd all love that - and could help too if you like!
