Which Prince Protege would you like to see next on UNSUNG ? Ok we've seen Sheila E . & Minneapolis Male vocalist Alexander O'Neal on Unsung : Who would you like to see next from the P camp ? In my opinion alot of them is Unsung
Morris Day Jesse Johnson The Time as awhole Vanity Andre Cymone
It always seemed as if they never finished what they've started : I would'nt mind even seeing one on the 6 Ladies : All 4 of them :
" He's All Black, He's All White, Everybody's Gotta Jam 2Nite, Limouzine ".

I don't think she'd do it. From what I remember, she's very religious now, goes by her real name (Denise), and doesn't talk about being "Vanity".
They should do one on The Time/Original 7ven, especiall with the reunion, band name change, and Jesse leaving the band. They could go into more detail than what's on the "Condensate" DVD.

they could do a 30 second episode on tony mosley holding something together that is falling apart

Yup, Jill. Her albums vary in style, she was in two of P's movies, was involved with him romantically. Her debut album is one of the best protege releases ever. Definitely Jill! [Edited 3/12/12 14:16pm]

Definitely The Time. I would say Vanity just for the story, but she really had a very short-lived music career, so there would not be much to discuss in that reagard.
Jill Jones would be good as well, but her career was not that visible to the masses (non-Prince fans), so I doubt this will occur.

I think Vanity would be a good choice . Her 3 albums and countless movies , a career that started before Prince in Tanya's Island 80-81 all the way to her kidney failure in 91-92 : Her rise and fall :
Her would be album rumored to be produced by Jesse Johnson , Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis and where she is now : Also moments of the other ladies :
What made Brenda decide to come back after a 20 plus year hiatus : Apollonis'a succesful production company who handles the careers of many in tv, film , & modeling :
And of course where in the hell is Susan !!!!
I was told that Rick James's , Mary Jane Girls might be having a Unsung in the works : " He's All Black, He's All White, Everybody's Gotta Jam 2Nite, Limouzine ".

She left the NPG in 1993 but continued to work with Prince on and off throughout the years,Rosie then recorded her debut solo album for Motown records which was released in 1995 and contained songs written by her and Prince and a duet made in the studio with Marvin Gaye.
In 1998 an independent record label remixed CLOSER THAN CLOSE from the Motown album the single went on to sell 260,000 singles in the UK alone and featured on over 200 compilations. Rosie also received a MOBO award for best international vocalist. After taking a break for a few years to spend time with her family, in 2002 Rosie decided to get back in the studio, her first project was writing and performing with Snoop Dog and Bootsy Collins for a Bootsy Collins album Titled Playing With Bootsie ,The track is entitled "Don't Let Em" and was written and performed by Ms Gaines with Snoop Dog And Bootsy Collins. During this time Rosie was also contacted by Dome Records the independent soul label in the UK who asked if they could compile and release some of her older recordings, the album entitled YOU GAVE ME FREEDOM had a low key release through Dome records and was acclaimed critically recieving plaudits such as Blues and Soul and Jazz FM's album of the month . Rosie has been back in the studio and a new album of new material will be released in early 2006 with a tour to follow. Ms Gaines recorded one track under the name RED Titled Release The Pressure. Review-Take Mark Yardley from The Stanton Warriors, sprinkle Prince's best collaborator Rosie Gaines, garnish with a Fatboy Slim mix written by Scottie Gibson and Rosie Gaines what do you get? An Essential New Tune, Buzz Chart top 5, and more. This track has exceeded even Southern Frieds expectations. Its had a barrage of support from all quarters - Judge Jules, Annie Mac, Pete Tong, James Hyman (Xfm), DMC Buzz Chart and the Music Week Cool Cuts Chart, amongst others. RED-RELEASE THE PRESSURE-SOUTHERN FRIED

At least she saved up some dough from those gigs so she can chill 'n cruise 'round occasionally, havin' a snack at one of those Crenshaw drivebys, hence giving the waiter a phat checked tip for servin' those chickwings with chilisause.
