When you have a public page for all to read and comment, then that's what you're going to get. If he wants to remain private, then he should shut down his FB page altogether or omit the negative comments he doesn't want to read or for anyone else to view. It's not that difficult.lol

I swear, I long for the days before FB and Twitter...there is a professional way to do things and this is not it.

I've said the same about others who have posted their grievances on public forums whether it was Jill, Fdeluxe, Mayte or whomever...grow the hell up.

Being that the fellas aren't exactly strangers to Jess he should have known what he signed up for when he agreed to the reunion. Be that as it may, if a discussion with the bandmates didn't resolve the issue and he couldn't abide by the agreement he voluntarily committed himself to, then a press release from the O7 would have sufficed.

Sometimes things don't work out and I get that but in order to minimize backlash it's best to handle mishaps with some maturity and I would say the same about anyone including Prince.

Jess himself started this drama and has only himself to blame for the uncalled for comments posted on his site.

Jesse keeps alluding that its way more we don't know about. I'm pretty sure it is. Jerome left Morris Day & The Time for reasons no one knows about years ago either. But then turned around and came back to the 07. I feel its something more serious going on.

The 07 announcement alluded to an argument & disagreements that went on in the conference call to. Jesse & D'angelo have been friends for a while. I'm sure D'angelo asked Jesse to join his band during the organisation of the 07 project. But Jesse decided to be loyal to the 07 until things started falling apart. Plus he has a family to feed like he said.

This whole 07 project I always felt was doomed from the start. Since Prince refused to let them use the name "The Time". I've always felt they shouldn't have put the group together anyway without that name. Karma has a way of popping up again & PRINCE is having the last laugh.

When I went to the debut 07 show last october it was obviously very poorly organised. The show was far from sold out. The promoter magically got more people by "The Time" of the show. I checked the box office b 4 the show started and it was hundreds of tickets available. Jesse just lost patience with them & decided to go where guaranteed money was coming in. Frankly I don't blame him.

Two of my musical idols are now on the same stage together & I can't wait till they hit the states. No guitarist can replace Jesse in the 07. It won't be the same his segment was always the highlight of the show...

Such as putting out a fake interview like Paul McCartney did with The Beatles saying he was leaving the group. razz The other 3 told him to postpone his solo album to release the Let It Be album and he didn't like that. Paul was also unhappy with the Phil Spector remix job. Or insulting each other in the press and/or songs like The Beatles, Van Halen, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Culture Club, Guns & Roses, Motley Crue, etc.

prince i dont think even cares, so much for having the last laff. Jesse is disingenuous firstly since the band isnt actively touring so it isnt costing him a pretty penny and when they do tour he will get paid. he can always do side gigs in the meantime.

Jesse playing with D'Angelo is like Lee Strasberg giving acting lessons to Jayne Mansfield.

The show seems like a hood throwback to the Parade Shows. Strawberry Lemonade and Henessy.

It seems like Jesse wants a Hall And Oates thing where he is co-frontman but I think he comes off stronger as a hellacious guitarist in a "dream team" band like The O7.

Prince said long ago: "Jesse [Johnson, former guitarist for the Time] is the only one who went away who told what happened, what really went down with the band. He said there was friction, because he was in a situation that didn't quite suit him. Jesse wanted to be in front all the time. And I just don't think God puts everybody in that particular bag. And sometimes I was blunt enough to say that to people: "I don't think you should be in the frontman. I think Morris should."

It would have been nice if Jesse could have toured with 07 and promote the project through the entire campaign/tour and then play with D'Angelo on his downtime.

BUT the world doesn't run perfectly like that and we have to respect his decision and enjoy hearing him play wherever he is.

So essentially at this point Jesse is calling the rest of the O7 liars.

I mean, either he told them on that call, or he didn't.

Sigh.

I found that interesting myself. The O7 said they were shocked, surprised, but according to Jesse he told them on the conference call and they put that statement out to seek sympathy.

Wow, this is better than "As The World Turns"!

I know Prince is sitting on the side with some popcorn and glad he ain't caught up in this! lol

Technically, saying he can't afford to sit around while the group has no current plans to perform, is not exactly quitting. Maybe the others didn't take it as such.

Exactly. If he doesn't want people publically commenting on a page he created on a social network, (and I'm sure he understood the definition of the term 'social',) and at the same time, knew he was going to get feedback, then get rid of it;shut it down;delete it. Then there would be no reason for his ranting and raving about comments he finds 'negative', on a page he created on a public site, where he was full aware he'd get feedback on. He can either omit the comments; ignore all negative comments and assumptions, or get rid of the page altogether. Problem solved. lol

I have a feeling Jesse will regret this dialogue on FB in the long run.

Agree. Had he not put that information out there like that, there wouldn't be anything to comment on. Like Babynoz said, a press release from the O7 would have sufficed. Instead going on your own FB page and sharing it that way, was only going to create a backlash, and now he's pissed off cussing on FB llike a spoiled-ass brat and a Diva.lol He should have just kept it moving, deleted any comments on his FB he felt bothered by and left it at that.

Also, if he didn't want to read negative comments, he could delete those comments on FB and keep it moving, He does have the option of removing comments on FB doesn't he? So what's the problem?lol If you don't want attention, you don't go looking for it.

He seems to want the attention or he wouldn't keep his FB page 'public'. There is a 'private' option. He could actually control who he wants on his FB page. He could limit it to his musician friends and family members.

If that doesn't work...write a song about it. At least he'll get paid for his rants. lol

Well she's smart enough to do that. She doesn't go on public rants, cussing like a Banshee, like Jesse does. Maybe he ought to learn how to just delete negative comments or delete those who join his FB page just to post negative stuff. There will always be a negative bunch that thrives off of negativity, to get through their day. Either ignore or delete and keep it moving. Because when he responds like he has to comments he doesn't like, he comes off overly-sensitive, and it will just attract what he doesn't want...or maybe that's just what he wants.lol

Jesse should take a leaf ot of Prince's book and walk away from facebook/internet and just get on with his music and not get involved with nameless people hidden behind the pc because its not gonna get any better, he will just get more upset about these strangers/trolls comments that never ever mattered in the first place.

When y'all drop it then maybe he'll drop it. He's not posting on your FB page about it. Y'all are posting on his.
