Does anyone know the Synth notes on the song Cool by the time? The bass line and main riff..

Is the bass : B / F#/ G/ A ??

Hi.

You almost have the bass: it's G#..... pick up is F# G# A and the 1 is B

Then the main riff .... I play this (not sure it's exactly what they do on record but):

Basically I play an A major triad (A C# E though I think it's really an F#min7 just not playing the root) and kind of shift my top finger to the D# off the E. Do it by ear to the record. To me it sounds he alternates between just doing 2 chords (A C# E to A C# D#) but sometimes they throw in a 3rd where they play the Amajor triad again on the 1 if that makes sense.

There's also this little a little ting they so sometimes to start a verse where the synth slides up and hits a chord on the 4 ..... I can't remember waht it is i think it's the F#minor 7 but just play A C# F#

THere's a modulation part where it goes up . I am forgetting but I think what I do is hold a C major C E G triad and KEEP the G the whole time It rings out) and shift your other finger or add in the D.

The bass I think modulates up to D A B C D

Then goes back to the main part. Try that.

DOn't even ASK me try and to the synth solo part. I wish I knew that!
