fDeluxe @ Amsterdam was pretty good Much better than I expected, fDeluxe was pretty good tonight! Susannah and Eric really made the show, altough I loooooved the drummer too.
It was strange to see one man made a lot of these great songs....but he wasn't there. Still, they rocked it. They also performed (although way too short) "River run dry".
Susannah, you rock! | |

I thought it was fantastic! And the man that wrote half of those fantastic songs needn't have been there, IMO, it was great without him too! And a lot of the new songs r-o-c-k-e-d! Just like the white winged dove...

I can agree with what the topicstarter wrote.
Not soo many tickets were sold, though. So only the floor of the main hall in the Paardiso was open, no balcony. Plenty of room to move without making an empty impression. I think, if Susannah was similar 25+ years ago to what I witnessed yesterday, I saw flashes of what made mr Pinterested in her. The band delivered a solid setlist. Nothing unexpected, groundbreaking or earthshattering but it was good music plaid by capable people. It was a very interesting evening! Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

They played River Run Dry? Dang. We asked specifically for that song when they played New York, but Susannah said no.
Glad you guys enjoyed the show!

It was a great show indeed... I was very surprised that there were only a few hundred people... but it was also relaxed... no pushing or whatever... the sound was horrible the first 20 minutes... the bassdrum and Paul's bassguitar overruled everyting... I wasn't able to hear Susannah and Paul singing... the ground was shaking because of the hard bass... I couldn't hear Eric's sax... After 20 minutes the sound was a little bit better... during Nothing Compares 2 U I could finally hear the singing...
The last half hour the sound was finally great! Highlights were Drummers and Healers and Mutiny.
and the drummer was wild... I really loved what this guy was doing on the drums...
