Feeling it. Never ever considered that track as an acoustic contender. Live and learn! When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

I completely agree! Prince's music from that era could be stripped down and the melodies are still striking.
This is cuts through me emotionally in a good way. I love her voice. Great cover.
I miss that gut feeling in some of Prince's music. The emotion. She hits that emotion perfectly the way she sings that.

Great version, this it what we would have heard if Prince had decided to do an MTV unplugged. About Andy's version, is it Prince playing guitar? Sound so to me...

Heartfelt version. This girl may got something. Prince is killing the background with his genius acoustic playing..... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

I remember Prince's version of We Can Funk very well! So....... I was like......let me here this girl sing this song. Granted, it was just a snippet, but her voice totally conveyed the emotions of this song. I'm starting to think that Andy Allo is the REAL DEAL! I think Prince struck GOLD with her. I could care less about their personal lives between each other. All I know is, she has the ability to sing a Prince song correctly, AND to convey the emotion and NOT in a weak way.
Alright Andy.......I'm listening. Time will tell where her career will go with Prince, BUT I hope he holds on to this artist.

Hopefulley Andy won't get crucified here like poor talented Tamar & Prince's ex Bria.. Andy is the real deal & Prince knows it.. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! ahahahahahah. Let's see if he screws up her career! She is talented..but Prince usually screws womens careers up when he gets involved.

Am I the only one who thought "...but its not funky!"???? Too bad she probably had to comply with JW boy. This song would be a lot hotter to me if she could have sang "we can fuck"! Its a nice interpolation.

No, I am sure other people have the same opinion. Remember, art is subjective.

I totally disagree with u on this. Prince has made stars out of several women that he has gotten involved with career or romantically. Sheila E is one. Sheena Easton, Vanity,Kristin scott thomas(Oscar winner)Carmen Elecktra, Vanessa Marcil to name a few out of many...... will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

Oh come on! Vanessa Marcil? You think playing puker #1 in The Undertaker made her a star?
Yeah, because Prince has sooo much pull in Hollywood. Riiiight. Sheena Easton was already famous. Kristin Scott-Thomas was acting before UTCM, although I'm pretty sure it was her abilities that carried her and not Prince. But, we'll say he gave her a break - he didn't make her a star. Prince made Sheila a solo artist but that's it. She comes from a famous family and was a popular musician in her own right. He made Vanity a singer, but it didn't get her acting roles. He made Carmen.

U have ur opinion. But Prince was instrumental in each and everyone one those beautiful women success. Yes Sheila had a career b 4 Prince. But PRINCE MADE HER A STAR. CASE CLOSED! Sheena to. Vanessa did more than a cameo in "The Undertaker" sir. She has had major roles in the shows "Las Vegas" & "General Hospital" since then. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that wasn't of this earth, would not have been that surprised. R.I.P.

You are wrong about Sheena. Sorry. Prince didn't make her. She may have been corny, but she was famous. Morning Train, Telephone and For Your Eyes Only made her famous - not Prince. YOU just didn't know who she was. I know exactly what Vanessa Marcil does. My point was that her LITTLE role in The Undertaker where she was barely visible most of the time did not make her a star. She was basically a video chick in that short film that was barely seen by anyone outside of the Prince circle. If anything made Vanessa a star, it was her role on General Hospital. Before then, she was just a struggling actress. Prince didn't make her career. Hell, he probably saw her on General Hospital. We are way off topic here. Andy did a nice job on the song. Its still watered down and it may go over well at an open mic on a bar in a Wednesday night but "We Can Love" is just another demonstration of how Prince has morphed into a much less interesting artist.

Sheena Easton was already a big star when Prince worked with her in 1985 ("Sugar Walls").
Kristin Scott Thomas did NOT become a star because of Prince or UTCM In fact, she probably tried to downplay her involvement in that flop movie.
Vanessa Marcil was already a popular soap opera star ("General Hospital") by the time Prince worked with her in 1993.

Thank you, SA! We all know how deluded Kcool is when it comes to Prince, so I'm surprised to hear him say it was just the women he came in contact with that were made into stars.
I'm surprised he didn't say every single person whose hand he touched was made into an Oscar, Grammy, Emmy, and Tony-winning star. I mean, look at how famous Carole Davis, Robin Power, Susannah, Gayle Chapman, TC Ellis, Poet 99, and countless others all are. He's definitely right!!

I really don't know why all of u are on this site. U never give Prince any credit 4 his magical touch on these beautiful women, that would have had short careers.if it wasn't for Prince's genius magical touch.... That made there careers skyrocket. Even when the talentless Kim Kardasian stepped on stage with him. She was all over the news. Even Whitney whose career was written off months ago is starring in a new movie after she was torn apart for jumping on stage with the royal badness...It never ends....
@Blackknight I knew of Sheena b 4 Prince touched her. She had a very good voice. But she got real sexy after Prince dipped her in the Purple Rain...lol

Okay, dude, you are REALLY stretching it. Kardashian makes the news all on her own, period. In fact, it was because of HER that HE made the news that one time. And yeah, because of the rumor that Whitney was banned from Prince's concerts, that made someone hire her for a movie. Do you hear how ridiculous that shit sounds??? No one even associates Whitney with Prince! Gimme a break.

Hella mellow coffeehouse sound. I want more. I like the way she flowed with that. Something about it had me picturing a pretty girl in lingerie teasing a tied up guy in a chair.
Oooh yeah.

Funnily enough - and I'm not looking for another argument with you - Kristen Scott Thomas was interviewed on the BBC or something a couple of years ago about her career, and she went out of her way to thank Prince for giving her a big break. She admitted Under The Cherry Moon wasn't the best film in the world but was very polite about it and very generous towards Prince.
I don't think anyone asked her if Prince's kissing was as bad as it looked though!
