Really? What sounds so bad about it? I just listened and though I didn't instantly fall in love with them all, they sound prretty good and could be a grower. I like that it doesn't sound desperately trying to be current. Some tracks sound like rock/funk, some sound kinda r&b. I haven't counted them out yet and plan to buy this.

^I'd say, they try to appeal to a broad audience. There are the poppy mainstream advances with kinda Jacksonesque sounding choruses (Jam & Lewis), a little bit of funk/rock by Jesse, a caricature of the Minneapolis funk and the typical R&B Ballads.

Of course we're still talking about some 30sec. snippets...

Its an AWESOME album. It is put together really well & showcases JJ & TL brilliant song arrangements reminicent of The Time's killer minneapolis grooves. Jesse's has killer guitar solos that rival Prince's...I hope this does well 4 them. There debut live show last month here in LA was funky.
