nod Exactly!!!!!!1

Prince has some major masterpieces tucked away in his vault.(Remember the sessions with drummer Chris Coleman) He is just waiting 2 come up with a new way of distribution. To get his product heard. Its a waste to release something and no one hears it correctly. Be patient.

I'm here because I like a lot of Prince's music.... mostly old though.

Chris Coleman played on 'Cause and Effect' right? I think that session would be best kept in the vault if thats an indication of the quality.

See to me you are really sounding like someone who's been brainwashed when you say he has 'major masterpieces tucked away but he is just waiting for a new way to distribute, its a waste if people dont hear it correctly'.

In 1987 I might have bought into that rumor, but come on ...be serious.

Wow, I dont know how yall do it. To be dissappointed with an artist for 20 years and still follow them. I can't. When Prince started to bored me after three years in the early 90's I stopped paying any attention, only reason I came back was because Musicology snapped me back in and I've been having fun ever since. Not saying you can still keep it real and post your opinions but its mind boggling.

I keep "paying attention", as you call it, to see what boot comes out next. I'm completely on an old school Prince kick. And, if he wasn't as good and as brilliant as he was for most of the first 17 years of his career, there's no way I would care. I may download and listen (once) to whatever recent concert comes out as a boot, but that's outta curiosity, if anything. I don't even bother with most of the newer ones unless it's long and varied.

I still think its truly bizarre but to each his own. I just think 20 years is a long time to be complaining and debating about what an artist needs to do or just dissappointed in general. I would be bored to tears, I mean damn 20 years??? even if all I did was pay attention or listen to his stuff from the 80s. but again. to each his own. either, he's still doing well for himself tour wise regardless of those who haven't care for him that long. shrug

Whats wrong with debating and talking about music? ...is this site not here for that very reason?

It's a shame that you are now called a 'hater' or 'troll' everytime you share an opinion thats not in line with the hardcore Prince fans here.

Hmmm, I had to go back and review my comments because I swore I never used the word "hater" or "troll" in my posts, nor did I say there was anything wrong with discussion music. confuse My whole thought process got started when you mentioned that he "rarely" delivers goods on creativity. So I"m rarely? then why are you here? Unless you meant to say lately. I just find it strange and bizarre to continue to follow someone who has not interested you in 20 years. That's just such a looooong time. The Prince of the 80's is long gone and you guys will never have him back. Does that mean you stop doing what you're doing, no way, people can do what they want, including posting however they feel on this site. And yes, just as they are purple koolaid drinkers on this site, they are definately haters too but if i was Prince I would be honored that so much haters spend so much time thinking and talking about him. lol and for the record, I am not a fan of Prince singing covers at his concerts or Andy Allo, though I think she has some talent and I do admit that's Shelby's voice, though I love her, does not mix well with some songs, such as the Come Together cover. I just have my own favorites when it comes to band members. He didn't sing any covers at the three Welcome 2 America concerts I went to and I had a great time, hits and all.

Being called a troll & hater was not referring to something you had written... it was a general observation.

p.s. I never said 'Prince has not interested me in 20 years' ... you made that up

Oh okay, must've been someone who mentioned the 80's or 1987 or the first 17 years of his career, why that got stuck in my head. either way, its still pretty darn long to me. oh well.
