i had a dream that is was judgement day and prince was being pursued a cyberdyne systems model 101 terminator. it had been sent back to 1999 by morris day to terminate prince and his contractual obligations with warner brother records.

once terminated rights to THE TIME would belong to morris day in turn guaranteeing the future success of the brand.

the terminator finds prince at a warner brothers party being held for mo ostin. roger troutman and zapp are the entertainment. prince is about to be terminated when roger launches into more bounce for the ounce. however the sound of roger's vocoder messes with the circuits in the terminator's microprocessor...which makes the terminator think he is a jehovah witness.

the terminator drops his uzi 9mm then picks up prince chuck huntsberry style and takes him into a small recording studio where they spend the night putting down basic tracks for "the rainbow children" album and the as yet unreleased track "i'll be back".

with his plan foiled morris day ended up sending himself up in "new attitude" and roger troutman embraced the relationship between his vocoder and new technology by releasing the classic "computer love".

that as the old saying goes is showbusiness.
