Exactly, and I guess that decision is always left up to the artist and his/her team as to whom they will allow free access. If there was some misunderstanding in all of this, with Mayte, then more than likely she'll clarify all the speculations/assumptions to stop it from running rampant.

I don't see why Mayte is griping about this though. If she really wanted to go, she'd buy herself a ticket like everyone else who wants to go does. There probably were some celebrities that got in for free, but I highly doubt that all of them who attended one of the shows attended for free. If for no other reason, most of the celebrities sat in the VIP sections, and at $750 a pop, giving those seats away would be a significant loss. It's still weird that she had to be approved, but she WAS married to the guy, and she should've expected that there would be hurdles.

Just because you've had a relationship or marriage to a musician doesn't mean you don't someday get to a place to where you're not phased by them and simply enjoy their music in concert. They've been apart for a long time now, so would imagine many wounds have healed. I have exes where I couldn't give two pumps and a stroke where they're playing now, but we do share a kind of extended circle of friends so if I see them on tour, big whoop. Nobody cares.

If I was giving concerts I would never charge my ex, that's just crazy and disrespectful. And she is not just one of his many exes, she is his former wife who he considered his soulmate and she also was the mother of his child.

Whether shes an ex or not is irrelevant imo. The relevant part is are they still "friends" on some level? I would never charge a friend, but a random ex with whom i didnt maintain contact, hell yeah I'd charge them.

I like Mayte very much but I agree on this point.

She must have not wanted to go very badly if the only reason she didn't is because she wasn't going to be let in free...All I can say is "so sorry she missed a superb show (s)... maybe she can catch him another time." Oh well...life still goes on in my world!

You get a grip. That makes complete and total sense. He may like her enough to "approve" her but not as much as he did before she became friends with Manueala. Like many people on here have said before me, what he and Mayte had was special and she hasn't passive aggressively trahsed him, she hasn't shown up to award shows, where he is, with her new boyfriend, she's been respectful, unlike Manuela.
