Fdeluxe (i.e. The Family) can still make great music, and I, for one, am really looking forward to this album. Moreover, I hope that I can see them perform live--this time, the music is all THEIR own.

insecure?? u must be retarted or didnt complete grade school???there is nothing 2 insecure about thefamily released one cd produced by prince prince has put out over 30 cds and continues to sell out tours across the country and his name rolls off the tpngue of countless artist current who wants to work with him i wish these cats all the sucess but it would never compete with prince and its wierd how this is a prince fansite and yall trash him like its nobody business maybe u should just join the other 5 members on the fdeluxe fansite

Here's a challenge for you. If you don't like something go to a post about something you DO like.

As far as the Minneapolis sound goes - Prince has forgotten what made it sound good. 20TEN sounded like a Prince imitator with really tinny mixes and over loud linn drums. What's cool about this project is that it's a collaboration of very talented people that figured out what made a great sound back then and UPDATED it for today. So far the tracks I have heard captured that again, but moved it forward. Prince is pretty much resting on his laurels as far as his new music goes. For his 30 albums plus, many I LOVE, he has lost any drive to create real FRESH music. But as a fan - that's ok. I have a ton of great material from him if I don't care for what he is doing now. That is not trashing him, that is my opinion. You can be a fan AND be critical.

Don't be so narrow minded when it comes to other artists that are related putting out EQUALLY good material just because you have some sort of problem with anyone enjoying something OTHER than Prince's output.

Especially when you name call and act like a petulant child. You wear your insecurity on your sleeve my friend, and Prince certainly doesn't NEED your knee jerk defense

I guess everyone is entitled to YOUR opinion.

Very talented group indeed. I cant wait their album comes out. I wished that they reunited years ago but I am glad they are back now and for the future. I hope they get more exposure.
