No hate to Mayte, but she should have held on to that comment, and been more patient and grateful. I doubt that her iPhone is not attached to her brain... Nor was she speaking to him everdyday as a friend. She moved-on with her everday life without speaking to him..everday (marriage..Hello.."out-of-sight, out-of-mind"). When that happens, sometimes you have to humble yourself, and reach-out first to remind the people that you left behind.

She thought about it longer before she posted that... Now, she can't take it back 100%. if she just thought it, or left that message with his team, it could've been covered-up, and patched-up behind the scenes.

Very well said. I think because we live in a society with Twitter and Facebook it seems people don't think and just do. They post and post and post without thinking of the end result, the consequences, or how it can potentially make them look.

Mayte seems to be a real sweetie, and I think she felt that, even though she's an ex that she would be given special considerations and/or exceptions.

But I really liked your post.

Things could have been done behind the scenes so that it didn't have to become public knowledge.

Old crew? I highly doubt Prince has got ANYbody beside Morris around since Mayte was there. I believe they have hung out previously.

Harsh comments considering a couple of those songs he's singing up there are about her.

Obviously she thought they were still friends if she could ask to be put on the list, and she felt humiliated...

I wouldn't be shocked if they cut his guest list way down, after they reduced the ticket prices, because in LA half your audience can be guest list between the celebs and industry. It was probably an oversight, where someone just said "I don't care who it is, give them good seats but they got to pay".

Frankly, Prince sounds so far up into Prince world that it was probably more about his rejection of portions of that era in his career than her. Then again, replacing him with Tommy Lee and simulating sex acts in bit roles on TV can't be good for his ego. Having the last dancer he featured and wedded there ruins his game too.

The point was not about how much it cost and whether or not she could afford which she obviously can. It was the point that she asked which I guess is probarly a requirement knowing the world of Prince if she would be welcome to go and see the show.

She was shocked by the fact she was authorised yet asked to pay, which I guess after everything between them which kind of a weird kick in the teeth when she was making an effort to hold out an olive branch by saying you wanted to go see him perform.

It would after all be impossible for her to sit as a normal person at a Prince concert and would need to be in the VIP area where most VIPs do not pay.

If Mayte can make up with Mani, and I m sure it was noted that Mayte and P still had some kind of contact they are after all a family even if their child died which commands a level of respect between them both despite what occured to break down their marriage.

Since damn near all her money - directly or indirectly - comes to her from Prince or because she was with Prince, I dont see the problem with her paying. Neither Tommy Lee nor Prince just "banged" her, but loved her and were in a serious relationship with her. So yes IMO she would deserve to be treated with respect by her ex, especially as she also was the mother of his child. And I can very well imagine that Tommy Lee would invite her to his shows.

And talking about double standards: I am very sure Prince was "whoring around" way more than she was after their break-up.
