I've never cared for the woman and never made that any secret. What I find rather interesting is I remember quite a few of people who can't seem to stand the air she breathes today, were acting like the sun rose from her ass crack, when she and Prince were together. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

Is that your answer or is that a comment about this thread? Are you suggesting that it was a stupid question to ask?

The problem there being that most posts dogged ONLY Mani, not Prince. It seems the real pass always goes to Prince. On any subject.

If If all of that is true than it was Prince who cheated on his wife after she lost their baby. That's way worse than what Mani did IMO. I don't think anyone feels they are perfect and again, if one disagrees with what Manuela does or says, are comments off limits to her as if she's untouchable, because you happen to not see anything wrong?. Now the nasty attacks like that comment John posted by someone about Eric Benet is totally uncalled for but really, what did she expect? I think this took her by surprise. I remember looking at her myspace page and she was always getting compliments on her beauty and things she's doing, I assume facebook was the same so I'm thinking she felt empowered to post thinking she was going to get support and didn't expect the backlash. Well, mainly because we were talking about Mani, not Prince. We all know that Prince is a horn-dog, like most men. Mani was sneaky and did another woman wrong, there is supposed to be a thing between women about not fucking their men, but some ho's always have to cross the line.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I also think that there are some people (me included) who cried "foul" when Mani seemingly pursued a married man and managed to work her way into his life and bed on the heels of Prince and Mayte's loss of their baby. Also it has been said that one of Mani's early duties was to be Mayte's PA. If that is the case I'm sure Mayte at some point talked about the distancing of her and Prince during those dark times. For Mani to end up with Prince after association with his grieving wife, well that is so uncool. To wear the woman's clothes after Prince and Mayte parted is downright creepy. There are some Orgers who went to Celebration parties that saw Mani wearing one of Mayte's dresses and acting like the Lady of the manor while Mayte was left in the newly built mansion in Spain. just bad all the way around. So when people start defending THAT trollop behavior that Mani display there are some people who are going to disagree and state that the behavior is INDEFENSIBLE. not that people are jealous or want Prince for themselves but because some people STILL think that MARRIAGE is a sacred thing that should be honored. Not made a mockery of. Ok, I agree with this. I didn't know the intimate deatils of what went on. Prince is also wrong for co-signing this mess also. That must have been so hurtful for Mayte to deal with.

I don't think anyone would disagree with statement that Prince is a womanizer. Everyone pretty much agree that he has 2.-3 women at a time. In the s likewise Mani was a home wrecker. Now let's seehow many will disagree with THAT statement. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

Zannaloaf said: "We all know that Prince is a horn-dog..." - so that excuses him apparently. No excuses fir him either. But he gets his just reward. Everytime he plays "Let's pretend we are married" with a lawfully wedded wife then when it is all said and done his bank account is lighter by a couple million dollars. I don't cry foul with that at all. You play the game you must pay. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

Never really cared for her either.

Just stating a simple fact. He's no different than a whole lot of men, which is why I'm divorced and will never marry again.
My point is that women should be better than that. If you won't cheat with a married man, then at least you keep your integrity and have honored the woman's vows, even if he didn't.
| |
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Well first and foremost the person who made the vows should honour them. And that would be Prince in that case. I'm NOT TALKING about Prince, I'm talking about how women treat each other.

Men should be better than that, too.
But human beings generally aren't. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Double standard
Men are ALWAYS excused for being unfaithful, I don't care if it's men's nature....respect! [Edited 3/3/11 17:13pm]

No double standard here from me at all. I already said he was a dog, which means he did wrong too. Believe me, I NEVER excuse men for their shit, I'm just not surprised by it at my old age. They usually follow their dicks instead of their brains and then they pay for it one way or another.
But....I WASN'T TALKING ABOUT PRINCE anyway, I was discussing Mani's actions, not his.

I agree that Prince is the one who broke vows not Mani. But I would never describe Mani as innocent or a honorable sweet young lady because she pursued Prince. See that is how these debates come up. Some people waant to give Mani a pass. No one ever debates if Prince wsas wrong. Every one agrees on gthat. It is the people who want to say that Mani uis innocent and those who say "ut, uhn... she went after a married man so stop it. " "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

Serena I just finished reading the thread. It seems you and I are on the same page. I feel the same way. It almost seems like when you point out Mani's part people try to deflect the attention on her by saying things abour]t Prince. It is like "yeah, we already agreed on Prince role.... stop trying to change the subject and get back to the tpoivc of discussion MANI"s role.
And it will be interesting how her marriage plays out with Eric givedn his track record. I wonder if Karma will psay a visit to NMani. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack

Finally someone gets it!
I was getting all
The crazy thing is, I actually thought they were pretty good together for a while and looked really happy and great in some pictures.
But since they've broken up, she pissed me off again with how she was still trying to ride his coattails. Yesterday, after someone said something about they like her Charity, I tried to find info and see how it performs. I checked a couple Charity ratings sites like 'Charity Navigator' and the BBB, but I couldn't find anything under the 'In a Perfect World' name. I don't know if that's the correct 'registered' name or not, but then I realized I was wasting too much time on her (3 minutes) and gave up.

Please Chile... and I bet if you check JW roster, you won't find Manuela's name on that either. And I bet her new man will tell you how she make some really good fried CHICKEN.
If Prince told her the perfect one would blow a snake... she would have done that as well to get him.
I'm not saying that plenty of us would not have done the same thing. I am just honest in saying yeah I did it, said it"... whatever.
And on that subject... if the rumors are true about the demise of Prince and Mayte's marriage... if he did give up on the marriage when Mayte refused to give up her Catholic faith and convert to JW to pleae Prince... I say YOU GO GIRL!!
People maybe misjudging Mayte's strength or resolve. To say "no" and know that it means giving up the glamour of being Mrs. Prince, his adoration that you are an Angel sent from heaven, not to mention the money, and envy... just to stay true to what you believe... I don't know if I could do that. So props to Ms. Garcia. "Remember, one man's filler is another man's killer" -- Haystack
