I'd love to see Wendy Williams attempt to interview Denise on her show! "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Something tells me that Wendy would have been or is a big fan of Vanity and would only want to talk about Vanity and Vanity's coke addiction (that Wendy shares) and would never get around to Denise Matthews. It would be a mess of an interview. Denise would either insist on running the interview to make sure they only talked about religion, or Wendy would piss her off by constantly wanting gossip that Denise would probably walk off. |

Keep on Preaching Denise! People tend to forget Denise Matthews AKA Vanity is a Minister,so i'd expect her as a Christian minister to say certain things coming from a biblical perspective. I wouldn't get offended either. She is doing her job; if u have any problems with what she is saying don't get mad with her, but get mad with the man upstairs. As "fanatic" goes not to long ago Prince in the 1990's did his first Talvis Smiley interview. On his show Prince told a caller that she should not be in to him, but be into Jesus Christ. Prince also explained to Talvis Smiley he felt the word Fanatic was a bad word to use and it was equal to the word fan, and he did not like to use fan the word fan for his fans. |

I've heard her before and have communicated with her via email. Sure her opinions are very conservative but so what? She's born again, an ordained minister and she is really into scripture and shedding her past so it's no surprise she's not comfortable with today's music and doesn't support sex outside marriage. I'm not sure she was equating homosexuality with sin but it wouldn't surprise me if she did because in her opinion everybody is a sinner to some extent.
People need to realize that Vanity as we knew her is long gone...maybe it's for the best because she wasn't happy nor healthy living that life.
besides....y'all not tryna call out Prince and he pretty much has the same views as her with the exception of not being into music.
I doubt she doesn't listen to gospel. I think there are vidz of her on YT being in a church and listening to the choir. |

Sweetie, you obviously didn't listen to the whole interview because she confirmed herself that she doesn't listen to much gospel. In church is the only time she really listens to music she said or when she can't help but to hear music playing in a store.
Also, there have been plenty of people who have called out Prince. |

First of all honey, most people aren't mad at her; just laughing at how someone who was literally a crack whore is going to look down on others and tell them how to live their life.
Second, Prince is usually full of shit anyway and always trying to be clever with his stupid little mind games. If all his fans had ditched him when he said people shouldn't be into him, you can bet your bottom dollar he'd have backtracking real damn fast. |

I'm sayin' she seems in that interview like music is forced on her and she'd rather not listen at all but there are vidz of her enjoying gospel music in the church and she even had music on her website at one time - that's different from saying you hardly listen to music and criticizing the art form as a whole . As for folk who have called out Prince....seems like folk are quick to backslide and support him all over again. Why not cut Denise the same amount of slack?
The Vanity everybody remembers has been gone for some time and folk need to ease up on criticizing her new found spirituality even if it does come off a tad extreme. At least she's not on drugs anymore - with all she's been through....she's damn lucky to be alive. |

OK, there is another new interview that Denise has done (with blogtalkradio.com) and I would say this is her most revealing interview of the TRUE Denise out of all the interviews I've heard. I was glad to hear this interview because it made me realize just how irritating and hypocritical Denise is. She'll try to act sweet one minute, and then she'll go off the next. My goodness, they had a few callers call in and Denise got all carried away over the most stupid shit if they had a differing opinion. Another funny thing is that she said she hardly listens to any music (not even gospel) and instead of playing music in the car she plays her bible on CD in the car real loud or a religious station that just reads scriptures. Did anyone ever tell her that it's OK to enjoy music? After all, music is a gift from God and there IS clean music out there with good messages.
She was also asked about her gay fans and she basically didn't sound too pleased about gay people and says that if your a fan you're a fanatic and if you're going to be a fanatic you need to be a fanatic about Jesus and that otherwise you're going to hell for idolatry. She also says that God can save you no matter what kind of sin you are in (when asked about gays). She also says that if you're gay, then you basically shouldn't sleep with anyone period because only a husband and wife can sleep together (b1tch please ).
You should listen to the entire interview, but if you want to hear the good stuff where she starts going crazy, start at the 30:00 mark.
Her mind is closed for business. Just like her gray, dust covered vagina.
LOL...Picturing a hollow sketched out vagina with dust all over it. I'm in the mood for love...simply because your near me. |

Yep, and that's all coming from a woman who did everything under the sun (yeah, real easy to shun things after you've already done it).
I SO agree with this! It always amuses me when anyone, Vanity included, starts telling people how to live their lives when they've done EVERYTHING (as a friend of my mom's says) but kill Christ! Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

As a lesbian, I can tell you that close mindedness isn't exclusive to a group, any religion or any political party. Most of the people I know in the gay community are as close minded about other people as you can imagine. Of the hundreds of fellow homos I know, the VAST majority are democrat and will just completely ostracize someone who is republican or religious. It sucks sometimes and is very frustrating because they can't see the contradiction in their 'openmindedness'! Diversity is a wonderful thing, but it seems to scare many when it is put into practice.
I say this with an apology to the present company. I am not pointing fingers since I don't know most of you, but within our community, this is one of the ugly parts.
Thanks for your honesty. From my personal experience as a Christian gay rights supporter (and well, basically, being what is known as a hag), I have found this to be true more often than not...about as often as I find Christians who are completely ignorant about homosexuality and glean all their information on from whatever deomogogue is most persuasive as a public face for it as a perceived issue. Sadly it happens on both sides of the coin.
At then end of the day, as we are all humans who act on impulses of selfishness and fear of the unknown and unfamiliar, there will always be bad apples on either side of this topic who act from those impulses. i just stand toe to toe and firmly with the mentality of Harry and Linda Bloodworth Thomason, the creators of "Designing Women"
I pray everyday,
That the people with sense will one day get power
and the people with power will one day get sense
and that the rest of us will be able to suffer them in the meantime.

I just got "special editions" of her solo albums in the mail. I love "Wild Animal" but the thing you get from it is that the woman IS in a a world of her own (even more so then Prince). Not down to earth at all, but a total loose cannon. The anti-gay comments are not shocking, of course, considering her relgion and her strictness in it. At least she isn't hypocritical about straight sodomy (in one interview she claimed she's been celebiate since her marriage and I beleive her).
I suppose even in her religious beliefs she is the same. She talked about not wanting to be associatd with anything Vanity, but for her to take the money from her past music and movies (which all things considered CANNOT be all that much with the exceptio of SOME money from "Nasty Girl") shows insane hypocrisy. I think she even said she would never take a penny from that becuase she didn't want to be known as Vanity. It's sad that she has NO interest in Vanity....unless it suits her! It would be itneresting that if she truly has no problems accepting Vanity money IF she would allow rereleases of those Motown albums in some capcity.
I honestly feel sorry for her. I'm a fan of her music and movies she seemed to havea great personality but I think drugs truly ruined her. I would go as far as saying that relgion might have saved her but also made her warpped and bitter as well. |
