Kat Dyson live in Vienna

Former Prince-gitarist Kat Dyson together with superfunky T.M.Stevens on bass and ardent Cindy Blackman on drums played an excellent concert in Vienna's Porgy&Bess jazzclub last week.
It was a racy FunkRockSoulJazzReggaeandBlues-jam headbang including coverversions of Come Together, Hair and Foxy Lady ! No Princesong was performed....
Kat D. seemed a bit shy in the beginning ( I think it's her first tour in Europe) but she just needed some time to warm and open up and after 2-3 songs she and the rest of the trio got really into it thumbs up!

Around the 80's, Kat used to be part of the Canadian group "Tchukon", and they also took part at the
talent-broadcast "Star Search", in strong competition with singer "Peggi Blu" who eventually won that contest.
Tchukon released some recordings, among this one below ( i think it's Kat doing the rap around 3:18 ) :

( posted it twice, incase one clip might not work on your pc )

she also played the bottleneckacoustic on "Come On" from NPS
and did a tour with HIM in the later 90s.....that's about all I know from her work with Prince.

Thanks for the clip!
Actually she did about the half part of the singing - alternating with Stevens.
