I agree that Skin on Skin was a very good pop album. I think it would have done better if she had promoted it without being drugged up in every interview - did you ever see the interview where she promoted the album on Larry Sanders? Oh boy, what a mess. She didn't even talk about the album and was in another stratosphere the whole interview.  | |

I know what you mean  During some of those interviews,she was so coked up.She came across as "dingy".
As far as promotion goes,Motown made a few mistakes too.They picked a lame second single ("Animals"),which was a rip-off of Prince's "Let's Go crazy".The song flopped and the album was dead. | |

Christ she was on Noel Edmunds!
Under the Influence was a great single, she's the sexist pirate I've ever seen for sure, surprised that song didn't garner enough attention to carry the album forward. She wasn't ever dingy son!  | |

To be honest i think she was lovely when she was high, particularly on the Ebony interview. It makes me just wanna hug her and save her
