Belize Anyone heard this? Belize was a Paisley Park act that was scheduled to release an album in 1993. I just saw an in-house cassette for sale on madhousemusic, didn't know anything was ever released or leaked. Very curious about this one. I doubt Prince had any musical input, but am not 100% sure.

As far as I remember it was just an inhouse reference cassette of some description , nothing from Prince on it AFAIK | |

As far as I know Belize was an act signed to Paisley Park, but the label dissolved before anything materialized. Perhaps the cassette is a pre-Paisley Park demo. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

Well, I was surprised to see this cassette, definitely a Paisley Park project, dated December 15, 1993. Go see it here - http://www.madhousemusic.co.uk/main.htm
It's listed under "special items", the eight item down. I remember hearing that this ws coming up way back when, but I too didn't know anything had become of it. Wonder what it's like... Yeah,Belize was a Paisley Park act that never got to release their album because the label shut down in early 1994.Rosie Gaines and Tyler Collins also had new albums all set for release and then cancelled. | |
