Does anyone every listen to any of the "madhouse" tracks?

I love "dopeamine rush" Does anyone have a favorite?

Listen to both Madhouse albums a lot..."Times Squarred" not too much.

My favorite Madhouse track is the remix of Thirteen --

Yes, quite a bit actually. My favorites are 8, 13 and a Quarter, 11 (Baby Doll House), 18 (R U Legal Yet?), Rootie Kazootie, Lines and most of all, The Dopamine Rush Suite. It's all music with no dressing up. Just pure imagination. I love that.

how many remixes are there?

The first two Madhouse records get a lot of play over here.
They're completely connected to the whole Parade/Sign era
and they're both pretty damn good.

The two unreleased ones have some nice moments, but overall
I don't listen to those very often.

My favs are "6", "10", "Parlour Games" and that weird
segue on the new power Madhouse 24 album. I think it's
called 'Sonny & Michael Segue' or something.

I do frequent them often. I listen to 16 more than 8, because I have the CD of 16, just vinyl 8. I have dopamine on MP3, pretty slick.

Funny, I always thought The Dopamine Rush was a bit of a scam. An easy tune, compared to the other free style jazz on 8 and 16.
On Eric Leed's Times Squared, the two obvious Prince tracks are the two odd ones out and not in a good way.

off the top of my head:

Madhouse 8 (one,two,three,four,five,six,seven,eight)
Madhouse 16 (9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16)

Not sure what Madhouse 24 is: But it's pretty much like the other 2. Some songs on 24 have a name next to the track like 18 R U Legal Yet? etc.

I love Dopamine Rush and One. But my favorite is Rave unto the Joy Fantastic. It slaps the released version silly and puts the remix to bed.

If you're hungry for more Madhouse material get 'Deposition'. This boot carries the best sounding 'Madhouse 24' (1988 version) that I've heard so far. Burn your copy from this and then tack on the 12-inch remixes at the end of your disc. Don't bother with the vinyl, get Premium's 12-inch vol. 5 compilation of extended versions on CD, which helpfully include the rare b-sides - all in top-notch sound quality!)

Last but not least, track down the other 'Madhouse 24' album (1994 version). This can be found in really good sound quality on the 'Paisley Park Extravaganza' CD set, and it comes with a nifty cover, just for presentation's sake.

I would also highly recommend Eric Leeds' two albums, 'Times Squared' and 'Things Left Unsaid' for further listening, as many see them as a "continuation" of the Madhouse project. Then again 'The Rainbow Children' and 'Xpectation' could be said to be an extension of the Madhouse project, too.
