I just stumbled across my old Rosie Gaines CD, Closer than Close and I've just fallen in love with it all over again. Especially the Prince penned Tender Heart.Prince's background vocals are simply flawless. Who else remembers this song and how does it rate with you?

I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! This should have been the first single. Maybe 2nd single. It is a masterpiece and a hit. When you hear songs like this and "Standing At the Altar" makes me upset that the masses aren't familiar with these gems.

I always felt Rosie could have been a huge success- great voice, just not right songs and marketing.

Really good solid radio-friendly pop song. He kinda had a knack for this kinda stuff in the early 90s, like 'Standing At The Altar'.

Amazingly beautiful song...Rosie should've been a star. Her per4mance of this on the Ryde Divine in Concert series back in '92 was sublime (lyp-synced and all) !
