Ingrid Chavez Ingrid Chavez's debut album is one of my fave Paisley Park releases (next to Jill Jones & The Family) the mixture of poetry & music was fantastic, the album was very atmospheric
and was truly original, it spawned 3 single releases all with great mixes, shame she has not released another one since. what are peoples thoughts ??

Loved Ingrid's album. The music always reminded me of winter (maybe cuz of "Wintersong" perhaps?). Kind of cold, melancholy, & a bit depressing.....but I dig that kind of music so it was right up my alley!

That same year she won a settlement for the law suit she filed against Lenny Kravitz for her previously uncredited songwriting contribution on the Madonna hit 'Justify My Love'.
I understand that the couple are now living with their children on the west coast of America. Ingrid has done some collaborative writing and recording with her husband, who is currently touring America on his Everything and Nothing Tour (which hit Europe last year). (There are some Sylvian websites about, which have also included pictures of Ingrid over the years). That Ingrid Chavez album is very cool..i didn't like it at first but it grew on me. I think we can safely say that Prince is responsible for all the great music on it and some of the lyrics.

I met her and she was a very nice person.

Ugh...she's too new age and hippy for me. She needs to be shaved!

Ingrid Chavez is BLAH...Reminds me of Brittaney with a pixie cut...not good...not good at all.

Anyone who starts "neo-soul" like Ingrid did REALLY needs to be shaved! Look who followed- Alicia Keys, Mystic, Musiq, etc. She needs to pay!

And spoken word is NOT music! The only time she's tolerable is in the opening of "Lovesexy." She gives "spirit bumps" a WHOLE new connotation.

Lets just take her out back and shoot her and put everyone in the world out of misery...the world would be a much happier place if we did this.

Ingrd Chavez sucks royal ass. She started off incredibly as the all-important Spirit Child from Lovesexy, but she should have remained a mysterious voice. We would later learn that she's fucking puppy chow. Her greasy hair and gay lyrics are enough to turn anybody off to new age for good...cuz her shit stinks Die please, or at least disappear

She probably has "FAM" shaved into her oh-so-fashionable pixie cut!

Look at me I am Ingrid...I have a pixie cut and flower power, and I can not sing worth a shit.

She has songs entitled "Hippy Blood" and "Candle Dance" for goodness' sake! I know of a certain Wiccan who would LOVE it! And "Slappy Dappy?" Ugh...someone get the shears...

But she can breathe all over you and complain about song writing credits until the next millenium! And she can read some killer poetry to you too, I'm sure.
