Has anybody noticed that Vanity's voice sounds like lead singer/bassist Janice Johnson from the group A Taste Of Honey? I was listening to their 1981 hit "Sukiyaki" on the radio the other day and it dawned on me that Vanity could have laid vocals on this song and it probably would have came out identically alike. Just a thought.

You know what? When I first heard "Pretty Mess" in 1984,I was thinking the SAME thing,that she sounds alot like the Taste Of Honey lead vocalist! The only difference is,Vanity tends to moan and squirm her way through her songs,while Janice Johnson can really hold a note.But yes,you can hear the similarites.
