For the first time anywhere, I'm featuring my own acoustic jazz group. Drawing from my experiences from playing with the likes of Prince, Parliament/Funkadelic, Maceo Parker & Chuck Brown, I bring to you some original material as well as a unique approach to some time honored standards.
Notice i didn't use the word "jazz" in from of standards. that's because the set list will be drawn from not just some of your all-time jazz favorites, but also music of many different idioms. From Jimi Hendrix to Burt Bacharach, Stevie Wonder to Steely Dan, from Funkadelic to Foreigner....(you get the picture!), all the music will be re-worked into a traditional acoustic format while drawing from a pool of music not normally associated with jazz.
So tell your friends about a great and relaxing way to close out the weekend & enjoy great atmosphere, food and music. And come see musical history in the making!!
