1) What do you think about time going by so fast.

2) If you could change things, would you both have become a mom at a younger age and maybe have more kids?

3) How come you are so normal, compared to other musicians.

4) Trevor Horne. Was that album good? Why wasn't it released? I think it is so strange that a man who made music with so many gay bands suddenly acts like a dick to you girls. Isn't there another reason to this?

5) You know eachother from being toddlers. When did you realize you cared for eachother like lovers do? How did that make you feel and how did your families react on that.

6) The two of you were very sexy in the eighties and partners. I can imagine, being in a group and always together, there must have been some tension. Meaning, were there frustrations from bandmembers (maybe P.) who liked the both of you but couldn't get you?

7) Did you have female groupies? Ever been tempted?

8) If you had plenty of money and any musician or orchestra to your disposal, what kind of cd would you dare to make. Purely based on your heart, not what's playable on the radio!

these are some awesome questions. thumbs up!

The .org did some Q&A features a few years ago, but it was one on one. This time around, we're opening up the process to the whole site so there can be more interaction between the fans and the artists. Hopefully, it's an idea that is working and that will carry on. nod

Hey Lisa and Wendy

Hey Lisa I read somewhere that you was part of a band back in the 70s as a teenager is that true? Can you tell me more about it and who were the members? Same goes for you Wendy it was mention somewhere you was part of a high school band as well can u tell us about that band and what type of music the band played?

And also Lisa have you consider to score video games? And also in your opinion what are the pros and cons of scoring for video games. It seems like that with your vast impressive scoring of work that it is kind of surprisingly you two have not got into video games scoring consider Lisa have love for them.

Lisa's a gamer? AWESOME!!!

Lisa, what kind of games do you like?

Dear Wendy and Lisa smile
There appear to be two versions of your first solo album out there, with slightly different track timings. Is there a story behind that?
Also, have you two ever considered touring Australia?

"Many fans and critics point to Wendy & Lisa as being the energy behind some of Prince's most experimental and adventurous recordings"

And many fans point to them as the reason he steered away from funky/danceable grooves and the energy behind some of Prince's most boring music.

I might as well chime in (and let me know if this has already been asked, cuz I'm starting to get a little overwhelmed nuts ) :

You recently composed an original score for "The Fall of the City", a 1937 CBS radio drama by Archibald MacLeish which recently enjoyed a revival on WNYC. What drew you to this project, and did the process/end result differ from the scoring projects you're used to doing?

1. Do you think you will work with Neil Finn again, and if so, would that be a studio-only collaboration, or would you tour with him?

2. Your distribution method for White Flags Of Winter Chimneys is impressive (various levels of distribution from MP3 to FLAC, CD, and even LP). Can you see yourselves going to a completely download-oriented system, and if so would your older work be made available?

- Which Prince and the Revolution album you collaborated on are you the most proud of? And why? Which songs on this album carry special memories?

- Which artists who are not musicians - like writers, directors, or others - have influenced you and the way you look at music?

- Prince's best songs have a unique quality to them, yet they are composed from a mixture of different musical styles and genres. I once read yours and his criterion for a good new song was if "you'd heard it already". Would you say there was a creative competition between you as musicians to come forward with the most "unheard of" songs or sounds? Which songs would you say fall in this category?

I didn't get a chance to read through all the questions here so apologies if these have already been suggested:

1) Would it ever be possible to make the 'Trevor Horn' sessions available on your own website or are there legal (or artistic) reasons that would prevent you from doing this?

2) Are there any other TV shows (past or present) that you would have loved to work on (without any disrespect to the original composers, obviously). I think you guys would have done a stellar job on LOST, for example.

3) Which period of your work with Prince was the most enjoyable? And which did you feel you had most input into musically, emotionally, etc. From my own point of view, to this day I love the work on 'Parade' and think this is one of his most interesting, complex recordings musically speaking. '...Snows In April' is a particular, enduring favourite and I wondered if you had any stories related to the recording of that song in particular?

and a plea, rather than a question:

4) If you have ANY plans to tour in the near future, please conisder Europe as part of those plans (particularly London on a purely selfish level) as there is most certianly a demand to see you guys play live.

Lastly, I just wanted to say a big 'Thanks' to the girls for all the fantastic music they have given us over the years and for doing this Q&A. Their openness and honesty in recent interviews has been a delight to read and very insightful, so my hopes for the A's to these Q's is incredibly high!

That's right, you read it correctly.

The Girl Bros. themselves will be answering questions just for the .org, discussing their long and impressive careers, which have seen the release of critically acclaimed albums, the scoring of soundtracks for television and film, years of producing and collaborating with other artists, and last but not least, let's not forget that Revolutionary band they were in back in the day...

OMG I love that version

Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman have been releasing their own music since their self-titled debut in 1987. Last year they released their fifth album, "White Flags of Winter Chimneys", on their own label. Their new release, as well as much of their past catalog, can be purchased at their official site, wendyandlisa.com.

TV audiences currently hear Wendy & Lisa's music on the hit NBC series Heroes, for which they provide the score. A soundtrack for the series was released this year and is undoubtedly available at your closest friendly retailer.

As for who the two have worked with...who HAVEN'T they worked with??? A partial list includes Eric Clapton, Joni Mitchell, Meshell Ndegeocello, Sheryl Crow, Liz Phair, Seal, Victoria Williams, k.d. lang and Grace Jones.

And then, of course, there is Prince.

Many fans and critics point to Wendy & Lisa as being the energy behind some of Prince's most experimental and adventurous recordings. For a period during Prince's purple reign of the 80s, he and "the girls" were seemingly inseparable, appearing together at awards ceremonies and posing together for the cover of Rolling Stone magazine in 1986. For many, Wendy & Lisa are considered a crucial influence on Prince's evolution as an artist.

Meanwhile, the pair have certainly enjoyed their own post-Revolution evolution.

From the ashes of their totally 80s paisley pop superstardom, Wendy & Lisa have succeeded in forging their own identity, winning a strong fan base along the way and gaining the respect of the recording community. Theirs is not a musical partnership that needs to rely on the distant past in order to be celebrated in the here and now. In 2009, these out-and-proud gals have a critically acclaimed new album and one of the most talked-about television scores since the days of Angelo Badalamenti and Twin Peaks.

Not too shabby. bow

And one other thing these ladies can do...they can give a great interview.

Especially when the interviewer is...YOU.

That's right.

We're looking for YOU to come up with some fantabulous questions for us to ask Wendy & Lisa for the inaugural installment of our Inside the .orgers Studio interview series.

Show us your journalistic chops and wow the Girl Bros. with your most insightful queries. Is there something you've always been itching to know but never heard them mention in an interview? Now's your chance to ask!

We will compile the best questions from your submissions on this thread, and then we will submit your quizzical Qs to the ladies so they can then provide us with an assortment of amazingly articulate As.

After they're good and finished with what they have to say to your questions, we will then of course post the results as our first mind-blowingly scintillating .orgers Studio interview feature!

Might there be other surprises? Perhaps.

Oh, perhaps. hmmm

But for now...WE'RE GONNA INTERVIEW WENDY AND LISA, Y'ALL!!! woot! dancing jig

Speaking of which....Submit your questions below. We're tentatively looking at getting a list to the gals by May 21, so get crackin'...
