It is one of the best protoge projets he's ever done. Not as good as The Time, but it is similar to The Family in so many ways. i agree except i don't like it as much as the family's album. but 'elixer' has the strongest songs out of the three new albums, imo. it's time for a new direction / it's time for jazz to die | |

Yeah, it's not as good as The Family's album, but it has that kind of flavor/sound. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this album. lotusflow3r is the guitar album we have been waiting 4. mplsound is the oldschool album we have been waiting 4. nuff said. i have all of Ps albums. i have enjoyed 3121 and planet earth and even musicology. but these are it. | |

Did Prince give us Undertaker? I believe he was prevented us from doing so. Of course we got the LD and VHS maybe. And the b00tz. But not the proper CD release. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry. | |

I have enjoyed the past projects (especially 3121 and Musicology), but these albums are well thought out and we have the "old" Prince that everyone has wanted for a long time. I never wanted that old Prince. We already had it. And this sucks! It is like someone trying to DO Prince. I want growth. Instead - despite his clear artistry and ability to play - it all feels stagnant to me. I like a few songs on Lotusflower..but that's about it. If you don't have anything I'm cool with that. Maybe some real R&R would spark something new. |

Well...its probably one of his best CDs as a producer, meaning he didn't go out of his way to make her sound like a woman doing Prince songs.  [Edited 3/31/09 17:28pm] | |
