Don't care a bit about the name. This is funky and kicks ass. And anyone who thinks it sounds like anyones "solo" stuff isn't paying attention. Clearly there is actual contribution from all involved. Loving this! Dunno what more it needs. Vocals sound great, music and instruments sound great. Don't overproduce it now...  |

I would love to know who owns the right to the name "The Family" especially since there are 2 groups that have released albums under the same name. I dont think it would make a huge difference from my standpoint at least but the group went by the name simply Family, not "The Family". | |

It's nice, though, and I wanna hear more Family! I agree with this all, except that I do kinda like the overproduced studio sound. Perhaps because we'd never seen The Family in a live environment before Family Jamm, I associate them a slightly overwrought sound, polish and packaging. I think it goes with their old glamour aesthetic. (Although it seems they've got a somewhat earthier vibe going now.) Ditto...some groups don't really need to do the live-sound CD. It's interesting, definitely not like the Family album sounded. | |

Great to hear some of the new stuff. Honestly this demo track is just ok. The other tracks St Paul previewed on the YouTube videos sound cooler! Either way I'm very much looking forward to hearing the new stuff!!!
St Paul's videos posted are very cool and its nice to see the behind the scenes - all very cool!!! if only P could be this open with his fans... The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

BUT Prince it's not the Family it's an unpronounceable symbol that shaped like "the family" the contracts no good buddy!!
