Lisa is starting up with her "crazy Prince story" about him flying out to see them, "E" interrupts and she never revisits it. Bad journalism, he could come in with his point once she was done.

or the writer could have just been trying to be tactful, letting her change the subject and going with her train of thought rather than needling her for more prince dirt. i think it was generous of her to mention the things she did say in that interview, and i think the writer had a good knowledge of her career. shrug

Great point. The journalist can clearly flow with Lisa's responses, and seems quite skilled at creating some space between the Prince related sections, and returns 2 the Prince related subjects very smoothly.

I read every word of the interview like I was reading the Bible. It was so much fun to read. I love Wendy & Lisa so much!

lol I know for sure that I wouldn't read the bible the way I read this interview. It was very enjoyable. Lisa sounds the way she looks, kind, relaxed and positive.
I kept on scrolling down and down and down, I was wondering how can a nice interview be that long, pleasant for a change.

She and Wendy are very very cool

Great interview.

Can someone point me to their work with Meshell N'dgeocello? I'd love to hear that. I never really listened to her until her last album (which I thought was one of the best albums I bought in 2007).
Change it one more time..

Just one last thing before the dogs of "too much time on my hands" come to bite at my heels - this interview sounds more like Lisa talking about her oldest friend. It's cool for just that reason - only those closest to Prince really know what life with him is like. Sure, they've had beef - that's obvious in Lisa's thoughts, and what real friends do is bury the hatchet when need be and don't hold grudges.

I agree with U completely
Lisa has known him longer than everyone in his current band(s).
And there is a special feeling when they get on stage together.(thinking back to the 2006 Brit Award show. No one can play those strings on Purple Rain like Lisa, no one can hit those guitar cords like Wendy.

No surpise since (In This Bed I Scream) that they would begin to come back 2gether. I expect more collaboration from them with Prince & Sheila E on his current work...

I have a gut feeling that Wendy and Lisa still collaborates with Prince but me thinks they are his ghostwriters nowadays.

I know what you mean. Perhaps they gave him shittier songs because they don't get pay for them. Even Lisa confirmed that when Prince asked her and Wendy to add either a guitar or piano, and they like Am I getting paid and he like No. I dont blame them either and why would they give him their best material for free, when they could use that material on their more lucrative scoring projects I know some fans were disappointed with Wendy and Lisa.s input on Planet Earth but they also don't realized that W&L's weaker material on the album was probably because they wasn't compensation.

I's also say they don't get to do what they do. Can you imagine if you thought Princes "guest artists" on Rave were judged by their input? It isn't like a real group where people contribute on the spot.
