Listening to "There'll Never B (Another Like Me)".....this is EXACTLY why Prince NEEDS to be involved with the new Time album.

I'm excited for this regardless of whether P is involved or not.....although in an ideal world, I'd like him to be.

I'd like for this to be like Pandemonium, where Prince has a solid input but without being too overbearing.

But I don't want Jam and Lewis to be overbearing either. That's a potential problem too.

IDEALLY, I'd like Prince to contribute 3 songs, Jam & Lewis to contribute 3 songs, Monte Moir to contribute 3 songs, and Jesse Johnson to contribute 3 songs. Now that would be perfect and would make a solid 12 track album.

You took the words right outta my mouth. My idea of course was to have Jesse helm a number of tracks for this album seeing that he wrote the Time's biggest hit to date (Jungle Love). But of course we all know Jam & Lewis/Monte's brilliance in the songwriting production world and along with Prince being the main brainchild behind the Time classic material it would makes sense to have those particular forces add 3 a piece. However, I think that this go around it should be everyone putting in. When I went to go see them in Vegas last summer they played a new track called "See Through" and it was dope! So I ain't worried 'cause they 'bout to bring smile

Everybody that went to those shows does not post to P org! If he sold out
21 shows with a 20,000-seat capacity that is a tremendous amount of people and they do not post to this board. I read the London reviews of the show and the comments on the message boards and none of those people seemed disappointed.

You are taking the word of a few orgers as the dominant opinion. I have bootlegs from some of the London shows and I do not find them boring. What is boring is doing the same old songs with same old arrangement repeatedly but at the same time, you have to give the public what they demand. I think with vast a catalogue as P has he does a good job of balancing. He is an excellent live performer and you are only going to find handfuls that are at his level today. Trust me your opinions are in the minority.

maybe..however minorities count as well since they r paying a fee..i'm glad u enjoyed the london shows..i didn't ..shrug

Not really the Majority rules. In addtion, those that are unhappy do not have to go see P the next time he swings into town but it is funny how people keep coming back.

man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

If you go by the charts, yes. But "Jungle Love" gets lots more play as a recurrent and is remembered by more people I think.

and- as far as I'm concerned Princes lamest performance beats the hell out of most peoples. SO even if I didn't like a particular show I'd never diss his live skills. Studio...another story.
