According to Twinz's myspace page they are going to perform with Rihanna on the VMA's this Sunday.



Rihanna has performed with the Time and now the Twinz. Is it just a matter of time before a Prince duet will happen?

You heard right. The girls are taking a break from working and recording their own music and are excited to perform with Rihanna this Sunday live at the 2009 Video Music Awards!

Asked why they chose to perform with her they simply stated: "We have met Rihanna a few times and she is such a sweetheart, so we thought it would be a fun gig in between. Plus Tina Landon has always been one of our favourite choreographers and when we heard she would be choreographing the show we simply could not pass up working with her either! . Rihanna will rock the stage and we cannot wait to perform live at the VMAs!"

Well, there you have it.

So tune in this Sunday: Live from Los Angeles the 2009 Video Music Awards!

ok i just saw it. Couldn't really tell them apart from the other dancers. I guess it was okay, The whole thing was like Thriller meets MTV's best dance crew. I did like how the band interjected White Stripes's 7 nation army into the groove. bottom line it was aiight!

I thought the performance was pretty good and the Twinz looked great!

LOL, U're right. I knew "Take Me With U" was for the film, but my implied comparison though was their singing voices. Prince can make voices like theirs work somehow in a song, but it still never sounds right/good to me.


The more I think about this, I'm starting to remember reading somewhere Prince wanted to do a duet with Madonna in the late 80s, but it did not happen. And since it seems Rihanna is trying to be the "next" Madonna, he may be interested (unfortunately, LOL). Like Madonna though, I can't imagine what their voices would sound like together. But unlike Madonna, I don't imagine them blending well vocally.
