The lyrics completely baffled me at first. After the third listen, it all comes together.

Completely brilliant. Subtle. I'm extremely impressed.

Has anyone else clocked that their new album title is taken from Joni Mitchell's 'Hejira'? Classy ladies.

I'm having a hard time even hearing the lyrics. Music is trippy though and I always dig Lisa on vocals.

I am digging this song. Although I was expecting something a bit more up-tempo, the style of it is why I love Wendy and Lisa so much, so I am very pleased with it.

I just love these women so much. No one's music touches me like theirs.

Good observation simm... Given that Lisa is a new momma (& Wendy as well by way of "the other Lisa C" ) , the fetal/utero symbolism could absolutely fit. This really reflects the atmospherics they've been creating with the Heroes soundtrack the past 2 seasons. Wonderful introduction to what I'm sure is another masterwork.

BTW, The "Real" Heroes soundtrack, consisting of nothing but the ladies score work is slated for release the same time as the Season 2 DVD (Aug 28th). W&L will also be at comic-Con Saturday 7/26 so if you're in San Diego, "say hello..."

Does anyone else find that the music overpowers the vocals on this track? I'm having trouble really hearing Lisa much less figuring out what she is singing...

I actually read it as another Jonathan related song: The 'balloon' and needing 'string' to 'use'. The floatiness of it. The feeling of transcendence. Not least, the haunting feel. It never dawned on me to read it as an in utero thing -- but the parallels are really there, aren't they?

The more this song sticks with me today, the more impressed I am.

lisa have a very soft singing voice. I think someone on here mentioned she have to use a special microphone when she sanging live because of her tender voice. nevertheless I love Lisa's voice and she is a better singer than Wendy JMO.
