The Doctor is In! First of all my studio is located south of the Minneapolis metro, not in Uptown. You can contact me on Myspace.com/doctorfink.
I will be on MTV next Monday on P. Diddy's Making the Band 4. I met Seven Aurelius a music producer on Making the band in New York last April through a mutual friend key boardist Demi Doc. I was there working with Kris Vanderheyden an electronica artist from Belgium. Last November Seven was kind enough to invite me out to Miami so I could collaborate on the music for the artist in the show. I played keys on Ashanti's song "After The Club", you can hear it on ITunes
I have worked on various projects over the last couple of years for Talking House Productions in San Francisco. I was out there last April and performed with a Musician named "Bray" for his CD release party at Slims. Because I played on his CD. Check him out on Myspace, you will find him listed in my friends.
I signed a deal with Mozart and Friends production and management team last year. I did a remix for Lexington Bridge a group signed by Universal feat. Snoop Dog on a song called "Real Man", I also did a remix for Jimi Blue( a German TV star) also signed by Universal on a song called "Little Red Hot Pants". I did the music for a remake of the song "Kiss" for the Popstars Germany TV show.It is Germany's version of American Idol. The song was on their CD for the shows winners released on Warner Brothers in Europe. You can see all the videos on YouTube.com
I was at the NAMM show in January doing an Endorsement for CME keyboard controllers. I am also doing an endorsement for Native Instruments Software Plug ins.
I have done two loop libraries for Sony Creative Software. The first was "Doctor Finks Funk Factory" and the second is part of Sony Acid loops Artist Integration Series, called "Matt Fink Star Vu Sessions Keys Rock & Pop Keyboard Essentials".This Acid Pro prodject blends with Tony Franklin's (bass player for Whitesnake) not just another pretty bass,Parthenon Huxley's(award winning guitarst and song writer) Six-String Orchestra and Siggi Baldursson (Sugar Cubes)The Drum Loops. Check it out at www.sony.com/mediasoftware and www.acidplanet.com
I am currently working on a ten song funk instrumental for Auracle Music in New York to be used for television. I just finished a children's project to be released in two months. This does not include all of the local artist I have been working with.
Not bad for a guy who just turned fifty last month!
By the way I did put out my own CD in 2001 called Ultrasound. That is on Itunes or you can purchase the CD at CDBaby.com

Wow, I knew the Ashanti tune was Prince inspired...but not that it had a former member of his camp actually assisting in the production. Awesome!

Such an honor to get a briefing on your schedule from the man himself.

If you are indeed Dr. Fink, I have "Ultrasound" and it is great. I like very few artists albums that year so when I say I liked your album, I am giving you a very high compliment. Keep up the good work and bring out some more uptempo hard funky jams....something that people these days seem to know nothing about. lol

Honestly IMO Prince really should ask Dr Fink back. The new band is a lil bland to me. Dr Fink and the Revolution as a whole brought alot of colors and texture. The Lovesexy band was the last time he had a stand out band.

Making the Band 4 is all about P. Diddy putting together world class producers, musicians and song writers etc. It gives the public a little glimpse of what it takes to put together a total package. Although I would have loved more face time, the simple fact is that I am part of Seven Aurelius's production team. There is a lot more going on behind the scenes than they have the air time to show you.All the people involved are putting in long hours to create great music for the artists on the show.

Fink did nothing on Making the Band. He was introduced and that was it.

That is sad considering your on HIS thread( and he IS reading it obviously because he is replying to posts) and bashing/contradicting him(if this is what your intentions are).

I give him ALOT of credit even coming here to make his statements. And giving his insight on things going on on his end right now. That is something you dont see everyday. ALOT of baords they tend to shy away( I should kow Im on other boards like this nature) let alone they NEVER answer.

Cut the guy some lack will you.

On another note: Matt(Doctor) Fink it is a honor to have you here in our presence. biggrin

But from a visual standpoint, he wasn't shown doing anything on the show other than introducing himself. That is in no way of bash, it's not like it was said Matt doesn't do anything...his camera time just wasn't prominent.
