My favorite "guitarest" is:

It can support the guitar without taking up much space and folds away nicely.

Are we talking about P related guitarists or guitarists in general? But uh, I figured that it's about P and the cats that were involved with him so...

1) Prince (For his overall badness on the axe (killin' rhythm, blazin' leads and visual coolness) and being the first brutha to bring Hendrix to pop masses.
2) Dez ( For great persona and great stage pressence and cool overall playing.
3) Jesse (For his great lead skills and cool jheri curl)
4)Steph (For his cool pressence, great P like vocals, and killin' on point leads)

Never was a fan of Miko. He had a weird aura about him and never understood why P had him in his band. I know he initially played in Sheila's band on the PR tour and even then, I was like "Who's that too tall looking motherfucker?"!

nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him."

Interesting.....Be it with P or not, here goes. Tomorrow my list might be different, depending on how many Expressos I've had.

1. Prince (if I close one eye in this century I can forget about who he is today and remember his magic back when) Plus this man is TTTTTalented

2. Stef Burns (Ya'll know I love this guy. He has a really nice aura about him and after listening to his solo efforts I love him even more...ssshhhhh...the old man just walked behind me while I'm typing this). Also, some of his melodic rifts are really emotional. He feels it and you can see it in his face.

3. Jesse Johnson (What's not to love, and he just seemed more about the music than about the crap behind the music)

4. Dez (overall presence and I was a total New Wave chick so I was into his vibe.

5. Lenny Kravitz (Love his 60's vibe but like P, he's a maverick).

6. Steve Vai (2 wheel me baby!) Flex-able is still one of my most played pieces.

7. Joe Satriani (totally unafraid to just rip with a 'who cares' attitude)

8. Eddie Van Halen (Wolfgang rcck 'em like your Dad!!) Plus I love Eddie's smile...when he had teeth.
Genius is born, not made. Prince is a Genius. No question. RIP Legend.

1. Prince. He can play guitar better than God yet only does so live or on a few album cuts. confused

2. Dez, I love his style. He is P's best guitarist (Aside for himself) He has a cool style and he's hot.

i think this is supposed 2 be out of Prince's backing guitarists, soooo...

Answer: Miko.

Almost strictly 4 his rythym playing, which came the closest 2 Prince's style.

I'd list Dez and Levi next, with Mike Scott and Wendy being at the bottom of the list.

I'm obviously not including Prince in this, otherwise he'd be first.
