Prince Spotted in Miami Yesterday January 11th? http://blogs.herald.com/s...s-cre.html
Prince Gets Creamed at Atrio When Prince was in town last year for the Super Bowl, he dined at Atrio at the Conrad Hotel and told chef Michael Gilligan that next time he was in town he'd be back. Well, last time he was in town he was busy playing a private party, so when the purple one returned to Miami on Thursday night, he did just that. He went to Atrio. Alone. According to sources, Prince walked in unannounced and asked for Chef Gilligan, who asked the funky one what he was in the mood for. "Prince told the chef, 'I told you I'd be back, so here I am, I'm back.'" The rocker then told the chef he was in the mood for something really, really creamy--perhaps he was just listening to his own song, Cream. Chef sent out sweet potato soup with Grand Marnier and made a very decadent Risotto with truffles. "Prince just sat there eating, very politely and completely alone," said our source. Nice to know he keeps his word. After dinner, Prince headed to Little Havana where he stopped by Hoy Como Ayer to check out the Spam Allstars. Could there be a collaboration in their future?! Excellent. No one will bother him here and the weather is nice this time of year, (no hurricanes). He could stay the whole winter and won't have a problem... I sure ain't going looking for him.

I saw these guys last week when they opened for Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings in Ft. Lauderdale. They were good but Ms. Jones and the Kings tore it up. Too bad he missed that show, I could see him jamming with them. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise. | |

The Glam Slam South Beach club has closed as well, in addition to the Glam Slam Los Angeles club. All closed or changed hands and changed names in the mid-to-late 1990s. For more information, Glam Slam South Beach is now called The Mansion, according to the website called Three Best Beaches. The Mansion is another club to see and be seen. The former Level (also formerly Club Z, Glam Slam, Deco's, etc.) is reincarnated as Mansion, with all the same glam factor left. Britney, J. If Jordan is alone (at least in the vip area) P could have been ok. He also brought a body guard on stage with him to get an award. Good story but hard to believe the brotha was out all by himself. I don't believe he was by himself exactly...his peeps just stayed outside. He will always need security nearby just in case, but we don't have a bunch of ga-ga people here like you see on the org.
Naturally, it might be different in NY where he has a much larger following but these days Miami isn't that much of a Prince town per se. It took forever for the Hard Rock and Tamar shows to sell out. Folks are more into Gloria Estefan and J-Lo type stuff. Not to mention Pitbull and Trick Daddy,  Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise. | |
