I really don't think so.It's common knowledge that Vanity and Brenda didn't get along.Because Brenda was the oldest and most experienced,Prince put her in charge of the group,which infuriated Vanity.They once got into a heated confrontation.
Also,Prince was sleeping with both Susan and Vanity,which surely created some friction between these two ladies  They both assumed that they were his Number One."I needed one person to love me.Prince needed more",Vanity said after she left him. | |

It was an awkward situation for all involved.Imagine being the lead singer of a group,and yet another member is "put in charge" of the group.Furthermore,you really had Prince calling all the shots.So I can understand why Vanity didn't like this situation.She had alot more freedom as a solo act. | |
