The Time balladeers? Although they're one of the greatest funk bands of all time, The Time definitely put out some classic ballads. Think about it? These 3 songs are staples on late night radio and some of the most popular love songs of all time. First, the song "Gigolos Get Lonely Too" is not only the most famous Time ballad, but one of the most famous ballads of all time. It's constantly played on the quiet storm in practically every major city. 2nd would be "Girl". Another great song that people still listen to today. And last "Sometimes I Get Lonely" is a throwback to 'Gigolos' and a definitive cut from "Pandemonium". So what does this all mean? It means you don't have to be too funky to lay down some cool grooves that you and your loved one can cruise to. Hail to The Time! Peace and be wild! | |
