what would be on The Time's Greatest Hits?

What tracks would make up the CD of The Time's Greatest Hits?

I would make sure it contained:
The Stick
Cool
Get It Up
Wild and Loose
777-9311
The Walk
Gigolos Get Lonely Too
Jungle Love
The Bird
Chocolate
Blondie
Skillet
Data Bank
My Summertime Thang
Jerk Out
Pandemonium
Shake
Release It

and the B sides:
Tricky
Grace

and the unreleased:
9 Lives

21 tracks, almost all of them blisteringly hot... fresh out da skillet! I think my bias shows... I don't like the way Morris does his ballads... but I am open to other thoughts.

What is your tracklisting?

The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/1538114623/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_bibl_vppi_i0) or www.facebook.com/groups/1...104195943/

I might add Fishnet and Oak Tree to this as well as they were basically a Time reunion.

*WHY* isn't there a proper Time retrospective??? it would be one of those best-ofs that i'm sure would sell steady over the years.

Snap

You might not like it, but "Girl" is a well-loved song by many Time fans -- and yep, it was released as a single. Also "Fishnet" seemed to have input by most the original band members and was a huge hit for Morris.

Peace. cool

I don't recall any of the other Time members participating on "Oak Tree".

Totally my bad! I meant to say LOVE IS A GAME, which has the same line up as Fishnet (the Time without Monte), but I loves me some Oak Tree! I guess using the (sort of) Time reunion as a qualifier, then The Time's greatest hits would have songs from Janet Jackson in there too! hahaha.

But you are totally correct, Oak Tree had no other former members of The Time on it.

Agreed.I think it's sad that The Time and Sheila E. don't have 'Best of' CDs.I have a feeling that Prince is the one standing in the way of this rolleyes He wrote all those songs,so he probably can prevent them from releasing compilations.

A Vanity 6/Apollonia 6 compilation would be cool too...containing the best tracks from both albums.I'd kill to have the "Sex Shooter 12" and the "Drive Me Wild 12" on a CD!

The entire output of both Vanity 6 and Apollonia 6 might fit on one CD.

Indeed nod and there would still be room for a few bonus tracks,too...

"Vibrator"
"Sex Shooter" (the 1983 Vanity 6 version)
"Manic Monday" (Apollonia 6 version)
