Info from wikipedia:
A four-track video was filmed based on the Apollonia 6 album, directed by Brian Thomson (Australian Production Designer of the original stage versions of Rocky Horror Show and Jesus Christ Superstar), scripted by Keith Williams (concept writer for such videos as Against All Odds/Phil Collins, Ghostbusters/Ray Parker Jr, and She Works Hard for the Money/Donna Summer), with a cast comprising of Ricky Nelson, Edy Williams and Buck Henry. Shot in a Los Angeles film studio in 1985, and produced by Limelight, a UK video company operating out of LA, it never went beyond rough-cut and has never seen the light of day...that is until recently. The video was posted on YouTube on August 30, 2007 and has left fans both surprised (that it existed) and delighted.

She was hot in those videos. And her vocals on Blue Limosine were on point. I had forgotten how much I used to love that song.

Wow! What a gem to come across. In a way, IF Prince had nothing to do with this production, I'm glad -- his lawyers would be all over this by now, and the video would be snatched from youtube. I wonder, though, what rights he has over the performance of the songs. Perhaps we should enjoy this now as it may not be available for long. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

cool find ..blue limosine was always my favorite track alongside a million miles and some kind of lover man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Hehehe. She IS both Apollonia and Vanity 6. I mean, she was the only of the four that could actually SING. Exp Apollonia's vocals are often mashed up with Brenda's to make it bearable. MORE Brenda. She rules!

Justin1972UK said: vainandy said: That would be a very good idea these days but back in 1984, I don't know why they would have done it since VCRs were so damn expensive back then that very few people could afford one. Unless they were going to do a television special or something. Olivia Newton-John's 'Physical' album had a video for every album track - and it was released on VHS and Laserdisc in 1981. It was sold to a TV Network to broadcast in 1982 but was actually produced primarily for sale and retail. Oops - I took so long pressing 'Reply' (because I was on the phone) that Vinny has also mentioned the 'Physical' album. But he's right - there was a precedence for this. [Edited 9/8/07 14:23pm] Blondie's Eat To The Beat had a video for every track, and the video album was released on VHS/PAL.

But her background vocals mix w/Prince and whoever elses vocals, enhance the sound. But she was way better than the others (including Vanity, who couldn't sing worth a damn, but had the sex appeal) Still say Brenda had potential... [Edited 9/9/07 17:10pm]

Brenda always impressed me on the "Apollonia 6" album (not so much on "Vanity 6"..."Bite The Beat" sounds like a Go Gos outtake). Who surprised me most was Susan, the one in the mix that seems to get the least attention and most criticism (I read some nasty thing about her having a moustache, thus not fooling anyone about being the young one). She was really cool in her video. All the videos are cool...the movie part and theme, not so much. Hell, the girls are better actors than Ricky and the other actors. The blonde chick playing the lawyer sounded high.

It's excellent kitsch... you know, that sort of thing is considered a supreme art form in some countries (Bulgaria, perhaps? someone help me out)...
Thanks for posting it! Here I thought I was the only one ignorant enough to not know about it already.
