Tommy Davidson- Sign of the Times

Hey all,
Does anyone remember that bit(early 1990's) when Tommy Davidson imitated the music from SOTT and starting talking about Prince being crazy, etc. making jokes and being his funny self...?
I think it was a stand up routine where he was wearing a short sleeve tee shirt...anyone remember this? Help! Wanna locate it.
Thanks all my P brethren! biggrin

That was the first time I saw Tommy Davidson and that was on the Robert Townsend special that came on HBO. Tommy did impressions of Rick James, Al Jarreau and Prince all taking a trip to McDonalds.

Yeas, TD is the man. That aired on Robert Townsend's Partners in Crime back in 1988. That was Tommy's forst televised appearence. That episode was on also featured a performance from Bobby Brown.

Robert Townsend's Partners in Crimes was the precussure to In Living Color as it featured 8 of the cast members on episodes of Robert Townsend's show.

I taped all these back when they first came on in the late 80's and I had them on VHS for years. In 2005 I got my DVD burner and converted those VHS tapes of this to DVD, I'm glad I saved my VHS tapes.

Basically the whole cast from In Living Color is on Robert Townsends: Partners in Crime.

Beside Robert himself you have five different Wayans (Keenes, Damon, Kim, Shamw and Marlon) of course Tommy Davidson, David Allan Grier and ILC writers Paul Mooney & Franklin Aiaye.Other comics include John Witherspoon, Sinbad and the late Robin Harris.
PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever
