Vanity in Tanya's Island (NSFW) I know that Vanity did some soft core sexploitation films before she met Prince. But I never knew that she did a film under the name D D Winters called Tanya’s Island where she imagines she is on an island with a gorilla she affectionately nicknames Blue, they have sex, fall in love the whole nine, sounds pretty bizarre and right up my alley seeing that I love collecting obscure films, grindhouse films and b movies and exploitation. I ordered this on Amazon as soon as I read about it but I haven’t seen the film, so has anyone seen this film? It sounds pretty trip out, I found a few pics

Poor Vanity.....She sure made lots of poor choices throughout her career. I'm glad she's a Christian now and isn't trashy anymore. The last time I saw her was a couple of years ago on TBN. She was quite convincing and genuine with her faith. |

Well, she wasn't "Vanity" when she made that movie. Once she became known, I guess she felt she was entitled to more money. more money based on her prior "experience"? I could just see her having a heated argument with Prince...
Prince: "What the fuck you need more money for?" Vanity (sobbing): "I'm an experienced actress" Prince: "Oh yeah,right....you starred in the Oscar-worthy "Tanya's Island",right?" Vanity: "Well,at least my leading man was bigger than you!"

Too bad Prince & Vanity couldn't work things out. "Purple Rain" was her movie. She would have done a better job than Apollonia. |

She did "Terror Train" with Jamie Lee Curtis. She was in "52 Pick-Up"(as Vanity). Prince's "dad" Clarence Williams III played her boyfriend. |
