to those of you who have actually seen this movie....is it really as bad as those pictures suggest? I just can't imagine that it could be worth seeing,lol

She doesn't have sex with a gorilla. That's a big misconception about the movie. She's actually tackled to the floor by her then boyfriend, mainly because he thinks she is in love with the gorilla. She sneaks off to visit the gorilla in a cave alot and the boyfriend follows her there, and thats how he learns about the gorilla.

BTW, the gorilla is the most ridiculous thing.

But Vanity looks stunning and so young in the movie. She is naked alot of the time. She's very very thin. And she has the most perfect Canadian accent!

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being 'GREAT', I give the movie a 2.I give Vanity a 10 for effort, and a 6 for her acting. She had improved by the time she did Neon City. Her acting was fantastic in that.

yeah that movie was a mistake but she was young and dumb...trying to became famous,at any cost.Alot of artists do crazy things at the start of their careers that they later regret.The funny thing is,Vanity must have liked the idea of being with a gorilla.In 1984,she titled her solo album 'Wild Animal' and the title track is apparently about a beast-like creature on the inside sleeve of the record,she is even shown wearing a black fur costume all over her body.

The film looks to have been transfered from video instead of a remastered print. The image quality is watchable but far from DVD quality. I'm a big cult film fan from B-Z grade. LOL
I've come to expect that a lot of the more obscure films won't get any special treatment when they get released to DVD.

now that I have seen it I may shrink wrap it and send it back and get a refund, I think the version they sent me was cut, I remember reading that when she wakes up from the dream she meets a man with blue eyes, that didn't happen, none of the creepy scenes from the pics I posted are in the movie, I will say Vanity turned out to be a better actor than I would have imagined for an early role

It was released in 1980. Vanity did some good acting in a tv movie called Memories of Murder. It co-starred Nancy Allen [ Robocop] and came out in 1990.

Saw this movie a loooong time ago. I could be wrong, blue22, but I remember the gorilla went ape and mounted her from behind, thrusting and all of that.

And Adisa, if that gorilla did rape her, that is really horrific.

I never saw myself as a polly-anna, but maybe I am. I jsut didn't see that horrible and disgusting side of the movie. Beastiality is not my thing. But it is obviously Vanity's, back in the day! She didn't mind doing this movie, or maybe she was hard up at the time.

Off topic for a second....going to see Prince in August at the O2 in London...Totally excited!.
