I know that Vanity did some soft core sexploitation films before she met Prince. But I never knew that she did a film under the name D D Winters called Tanya’s Island where she imagines she is on an island with a gorilla she affectionately nicknames Blue, they have sex, fall in love the whole nine, sounds pretty bizarre and right up my alley seeing that I love collecting obscure films, grindhouse films and b movies and exploitation. I ordered this on Amazon as soon as I read about it but I haven’t seen the film, so has anyone seen this film? It sounds pretty trip out, I found a few pics

I've seen "Tanya's Island" and thought it was rather disturbing, especially... well... I won't ruin it for you. See it and tell me what you think.

Poor Vanity.....She sure made lots of poor choices throughout her career. I'm glad she's a Christian now and isn't trashy anymore. The last time I saw her was a couple of years ago on TBN. She was quite convincing and genuine with her faith.

Too bad Prince & Vanity couldn't work things out. "Purple Rain" was her movie. She would have done a better job than Apollonia.
