Jesse Johnson: Drive Yo' Cadillac

This is one of my favorite Jesse songs!!! I never see it get talked about on here.

I have it as the B-side to my 12" of Crazay (I think).

It's funky and funny.

What do y'all think?

Cool track. It was actually a mainstay in the jukeboxes at some local bars back in the '90s.

Boy, I feel old...

Great, great song!! I listen to this at the gymalmost every day. I had seen somewhere that Prince wrote the song.I don't believe that. Was there any P involvement? It seems 100% like a Jesse song, though.

Prince is playing bass, The Linn, and Jesse's background singers sound like Prince on the song.

Many have tried to sound like Prince on that Linn Machine. That's him. With the clap-breakdown before Jesse screams and says, "And..er..ah.."

Same with "Do Urself A Favor".

I love it. I listened to it in my mother's Cadillac back then. About two or three years later, I listened to it in my own Cadillac. Now, I listen to it in the Cadillac I have today. Cadillacs forever dammitt!
