Never heard anything but Waterfall and am anxious to listen to what I've been missing all these years. Thanks for the heads up on getting these Wowugotit. cool

Let us know what you think. I for one would be curious to know as I love these two albums and think that some of the tracks have managed to stand the test of time. But that could well be my rose tinted "I bought both albums on the day of their release and saw W&L play in London and loved them, especially as they played Mountains, my all time fave Prince track" specs smile

Very enjoyable. No complaints, Will look for more of their work now. wink

One question I ask, and one only, and I beg that in good faith and with honour it answered be (for I LOVE the brothers of girl, and refrain from self-imposed expiration as much in the hope of having my skull truly SHATTERED by a well-administered 'Sideshow' as anything else)...

...Is there remastering afoot?

From the first page of this thread:

I recieved my CD's by mail on the 25th. They are NOT remastered editions. The bonus tracks are the original remixes from 1987, 1988 and 1989. I had never heard the bonus track "To Trip Is To Fall" before now and I must say love it. It's verrrrry Princy. The sound quality is very good but not much different from the original Columbia releases, which I've had on CD for years. I bought the re-issues mainly for the bonus tracks. If you buy them directly from Wounded Bird Records they're only $10.98 each! You can't beat that.

The UK version of Fruit already has bonus tracks (including a Waterfall remix, although that's from the first album). I can't remember the other tracks. I'm not that keen on new tracks when they're remixes and the like so probably wont buy these.

The 2 disc special edition of Eroica (can that still be found) is an absolute must though.

And I still say Girl Bros is better than anything Prince has released in 10 years.

There's a 2-CD special edition of Eroica??? WOW! I didn't know that... I want that! What's on the second disc? How could I get a copy of that?

Was the double cd not released in the U.S?

Sooooo jealous. I think I'd move heaven and earth if W&L showed up in the UK these days. They're top of my list of acts that I want to see play live. Hell I'd be more excited about a W&L gig than a 3121 UK tour..!
