Hi Ingrid,

Can you describe how yourself, Prince and Michael Koppelman worked together to come up with the concept for your 'May 19th, 1992' Album.

Thanks!

Ingrid,

Thank you for taking the time. What kind of input did you have with your career while at Paisley Park or your role during Graffiti Bridge? You seem so free, did Prince let your spirit and talent just flow?

Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to "talk". Perhaps I am not aware, but I don't believe you have released a musical project for many years. As an artist/singer songwriter are you open to recording with currently "hot" producers to try to guarantee a major deal and a hit album or would you consider it selling out at the expense of your own creativity?

Hi Ingrid, it's so nice of you to give up some of your time for the org. Throughout your career with whom have you enjoyed working with the most?

On Thursday, December 10th, 1987, you and Prince recorded most of the tracks for a spoken word album (that later morphed into your released album). Was this the first time that you recorded in the studio with him, and what do you remember about the all night session?

Thank you very much for your time on this.

Hi Ingrid - When your first album came out, I asked you about the title "May 19, 1992" and you told me that was the date you projected your next album would be complete. Did you continue to record your own music after the first album, and will any of it ever be released?
Thanks for taking the time.

What do you do to stay "in the zone" as a songwriter?

hello ingrid -was it true that your meeting with prince instigated the shelving of the now legendary black album-not too mention the inspiration for the song annastesia?

talk about music folklore lol!

I absolutely believe this question about the rumoured 'dark night of the soul' that seemed to involve Ingrid and Prince on a bad trip MUST be asked. It is one of the most asked questions on the Org and from a journalistic point of view you should not shy away from asking the hard questions simply because it might upset the interviewee. I don't expect she would answer it, but but it should at least be thrown it in at the end. Having a Q & A with Ingrid and not asking about this incident/time would be ridiculous in my eyes since it is the one thing Prince fans are really interested in Ingrid-wise.

Hi Ingrid, I'm a big fan of your solo work & I'm sorry to hear that You & David Sylvian are no longer together, but is there any recorded work with David or with Prince that might still be released?

I just wanted to express how much I love your album. Jade Stone is just something from another world that I have been in love with from the moment I heard it. So Beautiful and Heavenly and Galactic and full of mystery. Thanks for sharing that with us.

Hi Ingrid
Hope you are well. I was wondering how much input did you have into your character Auroa in Grafitti Bridge or was it all pretty much ready to go when you joined the cast.

Greetings, Ingrid, and thank you so much for being with us!

In Graffiti Bridge, I loved all those comedy scenes you did with Morris and Jerome. Are they that funny in real life, or do they just 'turn it on for the camera'?

Ingrid,

I have appreciated your music for many years, but don't know much about your personal background. Can you tell us a little bit about your upbringing as well as your family? What are your interests outside of your music?

It seems that everyone who has worked with Prince in the past no longer listens to his new music...at least that is the trend from the last few interviews with former associates. Have you listened to any of his new albums from the last five years and what do you think of them?

Hello, Ingrid. Thanks for your time.

I review things associated with you -- your recordings, your written word, all related photography, etc. -- and everything seems so mindfully executed. You have a striking and consistent sense of aesthetic across art forms.

That said, talk about beauty a bit. What is it to you? And what duty, relationship, etc. does an artist (or at least you as an artist) have with it?

Hi Ingrid,

you've mentioned a new recording project you're working on... Would you be so kind to provide some informations on it (character & sound of project, people involved)?

Thanks a lot for spending your time.

(Btw, I think you might like to consider collaborating with Jorane, a female cello player from Canada. She's often compared to the likes of Tori Amos, Kate Bush and Björk. She has worked with Michael Brook, Lisa Germano and Daniel Lanois.)

You must have a great deal of experience in song writing, singing, performing etc.

Looking back at all the great songs you have heard in your life, which song would you pick that makes you wish you had written it yourself, and could you explain to us why?

Hello Ingrid ~
I know that you have gone through important and intense spiritual journeys. Could you tell us a bit about the philosophy that guides you daily in your personal growth and in raising your children?

Hello Ingrid,
thank you for taking some time to answer our qestions. Being a big David Sylvian and Prince fan I always wondered if they ever met each other while you lived in Minneapolis?

I think they are both very different in their personalities and I would like to know if there was some kind of relation between them that the pubic didn´t know about.

my question for Ingrid Chavez:

Why is your Paisley Park album not available for sale in CD form or digitally?

above is my question; this is my reason for asking:
Prince loves to attack record companies for their controlling ways, but he seems to have a plantation state-of-mind when it comes to his associated artists. For example, I have heard that they are not allowed to talk about him. Most associated artists seem to have no control over their material, no matter how much input they had. He seems reluctant to release or re-release old material once it has gone out of print. I wish Warner Bros. or someone would compile the greatest purple jams and put them on one CD/collection.
