Hello, again.

When you first met each other, what did you see in him...
and what do you now see?

Hello Ingrid

this might sound silly but ever since i saw Grafitti Bridge i always wondered why there was no lip contact during your "kissing scenes". smile
Was it your choice or Princes' choice..

I realise that this question has no chance of being answered. lol
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Hi

Besides poetry have you written anything else, any short stories for instance? Do you prefer writing or performing and what are you reading at the moment?

Thanks.

The funny thing is I actually met Ingrid, but the conversation was so brief that I failed to ask her this question:

As you look back on it now, would you say the Grafitti Bridge was the fiasco that everyone's made it out to be or do you see it as a misunderstood and underrated work of art?

Ingrid,

Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions. I've always admired your work and found you such a refreshing change in the Prince Girls line up. Also, Thank you for your generosity in sharing your memories and insight.

My question is this:

Did you find the heady days of working with Prince more inspiring or do yu feel that the life experience you've gained since then has really helped you grow more as an artist? Do you feel that life or love inspires you more, or is it a bit of both?
Thanks.

Hi Ingrid ,
Prince allegedly told Michael Koppelmann that he thought Hippy Blood was
"so good its going to change music " and maybe left him with the opinion that your music could outdo his own . What did Prince say to you about the music you were making and the impact it could have on the music world as a whole ?

Hello Ingrid,

I read that you were of Mexican heritage.
What type of exposure - if any - did you have to traditional Mexican culture, specifically MUSIC, while growing up?

Hi Ingrid,

what are your future projects? Any words or music to be released? And will there ever be another work-based collaboration with David Sylvian?

Ms. Chavez,

First and for most I wish to say thank you for granting us your time. Of all the Prince "side projects" your cd is the best of them all. The funny thing is I bought it without knowing the Prince relation - They were jamming it in an R&B Urban Music store and I inquired about it - took a chance (I was still recovering from bad Paisley Park investments (does anybody remember Good Question or 3 o'clock?). Mello smooth nice voice. That was and still your CD groove!!!

And now my question, considering that at the time you had a child, How was Prince with your child and with children in general.

Thank you again.

Whendovescry2000.

My question: From the standpoint of musician and muse, do you believe that the New Romantics had any specific artistic message for the world?

(I am writing my Masters thesis on New Romantic identity.)

Hi Ingrid, lovely to be able to hear your thoughts.

My question is this: is there any part of you that sometimes feels bitter or frustrated that you're always associated with Prince due to his massive celebrity status, rather than simply being associated with your own body of work?

Is Prince as "standoffish" to his friends/associates (such as yourself) as people make him out to be?

Hello Ingrid!

Thanks so much for agreeing to indulge our curiosity here at the Org. I too am a great admirer of your work, tho mostly with your colaborations with prince and Ryuichi Sakamoto.

smile Heartbeat is an amazing song and your vocals made it ethereal - What was it like participating on so many of Ryuichi Sakamoto's works. How did his vibe, culture and sound influence your future work?

Thanks again!
