This is an interesting article, journalistically speaking.
For all intents and purposes, this is an introductory kind of profile. Most people haven't heard of Mani before this article. And, referring to her as a jet-setting entrepreneur creates the impression that she is a self-made, wealthy businesswoman ... a la Venus springing fully formed from the foam (say that fast five times...) Mind you, I don't know that she isn't wealthy independent of Prince. But to omit any reference to her as the soon-to-be-ex-wife of an iconic rocker just might be misleading, in a sense. My  . | |

My .I know that she did not grow up wealthy. That has been stated many times. I can't remember where I read it, but I do remember reading that she grew up in a very middle class area of Toronto. I don't know what her financial status was after she left college and before she met Prince. But, she is still so young, so I don't really know how long she was out of college before becoming affiliated with him. I really don't know exactly when they became an item. | |

Her values and ideals are maybe a little beyond the dinero factor. Wealth is relative. She's moving on. | |
