FIRST OFF, I HAVE TO SAY THAT THESE GIRLS WERE AND STILL ARE MAD TALENTED!!! I READ BOTH OF THEIR PROFILES AT WIKIPEDIA.COM AND WAS SURPRISED TO READ THAT THEY WERE LESBIAN MUSICIANS, AND IT WAS SUCH A Coincidence, THAT THEY WERE CHILDHOOD FRIENDS AND BOTH GAY...NOT THAT ITS ANY OF MY BUSINESS, BUT DID THESE TOO EVER HOOK UP???

Here's a tip for you breeders. Almost anytime someone is referred to as 'friend' or 'family friend' in the gay community, it usually means LOVER! Not always, but in this case.... bingo!

Wow, intresting replies!!!! I just thought it was just a pretty good concidence that they both are gay and musicians, I thought that maybe you know. Well, good for them if they ever did go together!! Wendy was and still is a babe and Lisa was/is so cute with her sad puppy dog eyes. You could really tell in interviews that she was more shy one.

I didnt even know they were both gay until I read both of their profiles at wikipedia.org

I noticed too at times during their inteviews that Wendy does most of the talking and doesn't give Lisa an opportinuty to speak.
Yes they were lovers before Wendy joined Prince's band. It seems to me that their parents were very liberal and likely was cool of their sexuality and them been together. I always thought that Lisa was the bi one and Wendy was straight up lesbian. Who knows since they both are very mum about their personal life.

I'm aware that it's a commonly used word in your community, but it is usually meant to be disparaging and insulting. To be honest, I don't actually find it that insulting (but I know people who do), after all, there's an element of truth to it.

I think what annoys me about it is that as insults go, it's pretty lame. It can be just as easily applied to many gay people as it can to straight people, and many straight people actually aren't breeders at all, so it really falls short as an insult towards it's intended target audience. Add to that that if it weren't for breeders, neither of us would be here.

Around where I live the gay community have adopted 'breeder' as their primary insult towards straight people, and I think it misrepresents gay people, because I know, as far as insults go, ye can do far better than that. Every time I hear it I think, is that all you've got ?

you know growing up it never occurred to me that they were gay. i can rememeber several arguments i had with people over it- guess they were right.

it wasn't until i saw one of their promo pics for their first release(they are cheek to cheek in it).

anyway.i have NO gaydar to speak of.. . .and where does it say that they are gay in their wikipedia article?

Speaking of Michael's relations to Prince, Michael said that he went to one of Prince's concerts when he was promoting Emancipation and he asked Prince to appeared as special musicial guest on NYUC. I guess that never happened. Also Michael is very close to Sheila E and her family.

Lang, was actually written about Wendy? Of course Wendy was commited to Lisa so nothing could happen between them, but I heard this rumor years ago and always wondered if it were true.

Alright folks, I have decided to share a wild belief I briefly had as a teenager regarding Wendy, Susannah, and Prince. I am already acknowledging it's a bit wild, but hey, I was young. Anyway, at one point I believed Prince actually fell in love with Wendy but knew he couldn't have her and so he decided to go for the next best thing.....Susannah. It always seemed Prince and Wendy had some sort of connection between them that wasn't so obvious with the rest of his band members and protege's.

Don't get me wrong I believe Prince truly and legitimately loved Susannah, but if possible, he would have been with Wendy.

This whole thing may be so far from the truth it may as well be on Pluto, but at one time I actually believed that theory.

She was just leaving and rode off on her motorcycle after I arrived at the studio that night. The assistant engineer on the project was telling me things were not good between Wendy & Lisa and that the song Love & Trouble was sort of about that.
