Cant really say Prince has been nice to his sister, you know for a black person he sure don't care about his immediate family much. I have only ever noticed him do stuff for Duane Nelson, Gilbert Davidson and his father John L Nelson and this selfishness started with his cousin Charles Smith and Pepe Willie.

They look nothing alike...he's gorgeous and she looks like Kelly Osbourne's twin sister!

Prince has tried to help Tyka. But the last thing a junkie needs is more money. Bought her cars, she sold them for dope.
Paid to send her ass to rehab, she ain't finish treatment. Put her in apartments and she messed that up.
Then he said, "that's it. you're cut off." She sold some bullshit about her brother dissing her to a tabloid for some money for drugs.

Now I do have a problem with him not taking those boys from her. That is most fucked up. He didn't go to either of his parents' funerals. That's jacked up too.

There are most likely religious reasons behind not attending funerals. Not my personal belief, but I have family who can't attend funerals because of their faith (JW). I respect that. Doesn't mean they grieve any less.

Prince did a concert in Chicago a few days after his mother's funeral (which he didn't attend), and he seemed depressed to me. As a matter of fact, a friend whom I went to the concert with said after the concert too that he seemed to be depressed. I have to agree with you guys. Princes family is pretty dysfunctional, there was an expose in a gossip magazine a few years ago, and it was like "Prince has forgotten says cousin Johnny a homeless crack addict and that shit". Ok if his family is so messed up why dosent Prince rather throw money and cars at them, make them do the rehab, but by his rules like in Purple Rain when with Apples and that flask "What do u want 2 do that shit 4?".
If Prince really cares about these peopel he will fix them up, but it sounds like he has, it hasnt worked and now hes just too sick of it to bother. But why did these people have to be junkie ass motherfuckers when Mr Squeaky clean Prince didnt.

She might have just been out in the whole party scene in the late 70's and early 80s when people were casually using cocaine and whatnot for fun (at a time when party people didn't think coke was addictive) and got caught up and fell into harder stuff. She had a famous brother and it may have opened some doors for her, not all of 'em good. Not every addict has a tragic backstory.
