in this tiny little moment, i wish there was some sort of divine intervention, or a single light of pure reason that could help people like this, people who favour the wealthy at the expense of honest public investors.

its very hard sometimes to stay loving and caring and compassionate toward such individuals, who truly do, indeed in more ways than u know, cause such damage to this world, to the minds of honest appreciators of a very simple thing: music.

and we sit here and watch all these little cheap games, hollywood names and their inflated sense of self-worth, moving in such deceptive ways, posing as charitable whilst sitting in homes that cost millions of dollars. driving around in convertibles with probably nought more than mindless tarts. and we r supposed to continue to take these people seriously.

that seems to be the sick twist to these kinds of situations. ultimately, people like this dont really care what we perceive because they are genetically self-serving takers, disguised as the holy saviours of humanity. such a subtle deception. my oh my what a stink is rising up into the heavens, a stink generated by two poor victims of excessive wealth and vanity, or r they really victims. lets just say they r uneducated, and remain that way through choice.

Prince and Manuela, the view from here is not pretty. Far from it, in fact it is probably the ugliest scene we have seen for a while, and in some poetic way, we can liken it to the war in Lebanon, after all, these farces are all caused by the same thing: ignorance of what Peace on Earth is really all about, and how to achieve it.

Perhaps the both of you would care to pick up a good book sometime, one that speaks of simple things, quiet things, truly valid things, just a page or two and you will be surprised at what you can learn about real life, and real people, thekind of people that post on this website for instance, who are here because of music, and yet we are given one charade after another, one more game after another. Exactly how much more of our money do you need?

Perhaps there are those willing to keep giving both of you everything they have, of their time and energy, and hard-earned dollars. They are the meek you see. People who undestand what it is to truly give, and whilst i personally do not believe extremem fanatacism is healthy, there is a simplicity to it that seems to escape your radar. Could that be because your narrow tunnel vision views of the world have not the scope with which to behold it.. we shall see.

As a membr of the general public and music appreciator, must say, am growing a little weary of the soap opera, on music's time. The feigned appreciation you have both displayed for God, or Jehovah as you put it, drips on the forehead, like chinese water torture. Clearly, God's true teachings interest neither of you in any kind of serious capacity. Thankfully there are many who understand this disability, just not sure how many will remain patient with it, including God Itself.

In another forum on this website, there is a discussion occurring about why 'orgers' generally speaking have not enjoyed the music in the past 10 years or so. The responses vary, but as a very insignificant person in the big scheme of things, might i suggest that perhaps God takes talent away from those who abuse the privelege of being given it in the first place. Perhaps He passes it on to others, who will make better use of it, as the entire globe flies at light speed toward a much brighter future, a far more honest future, a humble future, where all the things that have bound you to illusion after illusion, no longer exist.

With the respect for the music given, and with a comapssionate but not altogether patient understanding of the trials and tribulations of the self-inflicted 'rich and famous', one can only hope the both of you will see the Golden dawn, so often referred to by someone, who seems to have forgotten about it altogether, and that women, good women, simple women, humble women, learn from the mistakes being made apparent here, in marriage and genuine awareness for the true place they hold in the world.

Music lives 4 ever, no matter who channels it, and True Marriages last 4ever, no matter rich or poor. Am grateful to understand these things. May you also. smile

God doesn't just tells me how much he "LOVE's" me, God shows me how much he "LOVE's" me. Both telling and showing "LOVE" means to "LOVE". They go hand in hand. You can't have one with out the other. Something is spoken, then followed by an action. That is

It does seem orchestrated with a lot of Prince dollars. My problem with it is : why should Manuella Testolini be so interesting that people would buy candles and pick up the latest Vogue featuring her relatively unknown face? It's a lofty, impractical proposition that has Prince written all over it. I suppose they once envisioned the line being sold through the 3121 project. Now that it's being marketed as a line from Prince's soon-to-be ex, with glossies opening their pages to a woman whose sole claim to semi-fame is the man she married, the question of her relevance is rather urgent unless Manuella enjoys having thousands of candles in storage, unsold. If you lend your fame to a a line of products, even for charity, you need a way to maintain that fame and I don't see how Manuella can stay semi-famous unless she has a talent that makes her a public figure... or goes the tell-all way (which I don't think she'd do).

The idea of the candles is good and someone really famous should try it if they want some serious charity cash. This small PR-blitz is kind of wasted on Mani and is similar to the attention Mayte received, but in her case it made more sense, since she was on stage (no matter how annoyingly!). At least she was a performer of some sort. But Mani... I'm trying to remember who else is famous for having been married to so and so and that's it... What's the name of that woman Ice-T has? She was in porn, right? Denise Richard? A model and sometimes actress... right? I'm sure there are some examples of women simply famous for their marriage (besides all the obvious historical figures).

I kinda feel bad for Prince it sems like he loses in the marriage as she gets all this money and house etc. seems like some use him as a stepping stone to reach their own fame and fortune ; uses him then gets rid of him.
He's had bad luck with both his marriages and with Warner Bros. they werent right with him either his music belongs to him. I dont know what he is like maybe hes hard to live with but they should've known a bit of what he is before they make those vows I think they see the $$$$$ moola get stars in their eyes and forget he is a person, a celeb and all the good and bad that goes with it, gotta be for better or worse!!! (I know there are some cases divorce is very necessary, it just happens way more than it should)

Sweet aroma of cash, popularity

Soon-to-be-ex-wife opens up Prince’s pad

S H I NA N G O VA N I

Fluffers! On the Bridle Path! Word has it that House & Garden magazine paid a rare and recent visit to Toronto.

Manuela Testolini Nelson — the soon-to-be-ex-Mrs. Prince — was what brought ’em here. The chi-chi nesting mag got unprecedented access to the uptown manor that she shared for some years with the pint-sized purple-bedecked pop star.

The hook for the article? Manuela — whose five-year union with the singer just went bust — has a home fragrance line that happens to be launching in the fall. (And as I zinged some columns back when I first brought this to your attention: first comes splitsville, then come the soy-based candles.)

But this ain’t all for the Mona Lisa-ish girl who grew up in a notvery-90210 apartment in Don Mills and later turned a job with Prince into a full-time position as spouse. She’s getting the Vogue treatment, too! Word has it that the Prince-ess was also photographed not long ago in New York’s Meatpacking District for Anna Wintour’s glossy.

The home line, called Altru — short for altruism, I think — will be made up of an initial 16 pieces, including fragrance oils, incense sticks and natural candles. But there’s no Little Red Corvette bath balm. And, yes, most of the proceeds go to charity.

Divided into six goodwill theme groups, the products are said to be based on themes such as Harmony (tanenashi persimmon), Integrity (Persian lilac and bamboo), Artistry (masala chai), Remembrance (grapefruit and Italian rosemary), Wellness (white clove and wild ginger) and Appreciation (tiare and white freesia).

What’s this other, sweet scent I smell? Oh, yeah, it’s the aroma of dough! For once the divorce is complete, Manuela is expected to get millions. And, of course, one very photo-ready house on the Bridle Path.

I disagree. Prince still has his talent. nod Orgers have expectations. Since Prince is no mind-reader, he only does what he knows best. Then, some fans are disappointed. It isn't possible to please everybody.

a month after filing for divorce, she still saye she "shares a home" with Prince.

– Michelle Edgar
An Altruistic Spin On Home Scents
July 19, 2006 WWDWEDNESDAY

With the fall launch of a home fragrance brand called altru, Manuela Testolini Nelson, who is married to pop superstar Prince, will take her first steps into the beauty arena. "I wanted to bring back an appreciation for old world artisanal goods but present them in way that'd modern." said Testolini Nelson, who is found and chief executive officer of Gamillah Inc., a two-year old firm that's aligned with numerous social causes and based in Minneapolis, where she resides with her husband. Gamillah also markets Art of Life, a collection of media production projects, including DVDs.

Testolini Nelson, who divides her time between Minneapolis and her native Toronto, wanted to create a fragrance collectoni nspired by her travels and exposure to cultures around the world. The 16-item altru collection, whose name is intended to mean "unselfishly giving of one's self to others." contains six soy blended candles, four interior fragrance oils, four sets of incense sticks, a copper incense burner and an incense holder inspired by an Egyptian scroll case.

More than half of the proceeds from altru will go to a charity Testolini Nelson founded last year called the In A Perfect World Foundation. The non-profit organization's mission is to inspire and empower children to become compassionate, socially conscious and responsible leaders.

"I wanted to create something that I personally use and love." said Testolini Nelson. "Since I'm always traveling, I like to make hotel rooms feel like home, and two things I always bring along with me are teas and candles. At home something as simple as having wonderful bath products, a candle and some music is a safe haven and refuge for me."

The altru collection ranges in price from $15 for the Incense Star Burner to $65 for the Interior Fragrance Oil. It will be introduced in October exclusively at Nordstrom and at Manhattan's ABC Carpet & Home, or about 20 doors.

In January, Gamillah plans to expand distribution of altru to other speciality stores. Industry sources estimate altru could generate between $1 million and $ 2 million in first-year retail sales.

According to Testolini Nelson, altru products are named for core values one might find in a "perfect world." such as Harmony, Integrity, Artistry, Remembrance, Wellness and Appreciation. Each of the six products groupings is based on particular oil factory accords. For instance, Harmony is scented wtih tanenashi persimmon; Integrity with Persian lilac and bamboo; Artistry with masala chai; Remembrance with grapefruit and Italian rosemary; Wellness with white clove and wild ginger, and Appreciaton with tiare and white freesia.

The patterns used on altru's packaging are influenced by textiles Testolini Nelson discovered at market's in India, Egypt and Morocco. The soy wax candles are packaged in hammmered copper, while the fragrance oils are packaged in hand-blown glass bottles inspired by Merano glass. A highlight of the line is the Incense Scroll Holder, for $25. It was inspired by an item dating from 1382 that she found in a centuries-old Cairo marketplace. "The holder was used for special documents, like marriage certificates, "said Testolini Nelson. "I thought to myself 'What a wonderful way for me to travel wtih my incese.'"

Over the next two years, Testolini Nelson has plans to launch a bath and body collecton - as well as stationaary, journals and an assortment of teas - under altru.
