Damn, I wish they'd open NPGMC back up so some of you fanbots can go back to your "altar". They were married; they are divorced. Simple as that. Personally, I think working to help children is much more honorble than singing songs and dancing.
What else is she supposed to do other than move on? Keel over and die because she's no longer married to Prince?

That is what I am saying though! I had came across a couple since NPGMC was closed. lol

"Manuela Testolini Nelson, CEO of Gamillah, Inc. and
founder of the In a Perfect World Foundation, was
selected by the editors of Elle magazine to be featured
as one of their seven Women of Personal Style..."

Did I miss something, or does it say which issue this will be in?

Otherwise...well, no comment. wink

Thank You! I noticed that her sight was using "Nelson" long before the divorce was announced. So what if she's using the name. It is legally hers too. Damn, ya'll. Stop hatin!

I know right! Who cares if she's using his last name.

When I divorced I kept my last ex's last name. It's not the name I use professionally, but it's the same on all my legal documents. I'm lazy lol

i hope she drops the 'nelson' surname, cuz thats just plain rude biggrin

no offence! x
How is it rude to keep your ex-husband's surname? I kept my ex-husband's name until I remarried. I felt it was my right to give it up when I felt ready to after all the emotional hell he put me through.

Nobody here knows what its like to be married to Prince, so leave the girl alone. I'm sure it isn't a bed of roses because most of the ex girlfriends have come out and pretty much said he's a controlling pain in the ass. And I'm like this, if she needs to use his name to get her company rolling and all, then she should do it.

how do you know she only started using Nelson for her name? don't JWs have to do that when they get married? i am sure mayte goes though the same thing where every article that is done about her they mention she use to be married to him. i dont think she goes and tells these people to right that stuff jsut like i dont think mani would either but i could be wrong. and she is still married to him until the divorce is finalized so right now they are separate.

rolleyes.... Mani has recently became Testolini-Nelson. Her site only mentioned that she was married to PRN. Now it's mentioned on just about every single page on that site that she's Testolini Nelson. I started to wonder if that was done because her divorce attorney asked her too. And as far as Mayte is concerned she is Mayte Garcia. Not Mayte Garcia Nelson or Mayte Nelson. She can stand on her own without leaning on the fact that she was the first Mrs. Nelson. I think that I would have more respect for Mani if she was doing all of this (Gamilah) on her own. Not using her "celebrity" connection at every single turn.

Let's be fair...read Mayte Bio...She may no longer go by Nelson, but she does use Prince's name quite often in the bio.

But she never talks about being married to him, just list the work she did while employed by him (and she list other professional dance jobs with others as well). It is her resume so to speak. And what about Mani's association with Prince is worthy of being listed on her "resume" so to speak... being his wife?
Well that would be appropriate if her chosen endeavors was snagging another rich popstar.
hmmm
Anyway, why not list specifically her job with his charity corporation before she got married to Prince.

If you read her profile it lists many charity organizations that she worked with before she founded Gamillah, one of them being L4OA (and before she mentions being married to Prince). BTW this is kind of off on a tangent, but I think it's pretty common for profiles of company leaders, celebrities, etc. to list who they are married to, how many kids they have, etc. in their profiles. Why? Because people want to know. Just my twocents

I really want them to work out there marriage, however if they don't all of these articles are being posted to her site, but no change as far as her name goes. It is still saying Manuela Testolini Nelson. And I think it is just aweful that she would decide to divorce him right as she starts to shine. I hope that she keeps at her forfront Prince and his money is part of the reason she is where and able to do what she's doing.
